I was travelling from Dhangar to Delhi. When I reached Delhi in the late evening, I got a news from my friend Mr.Aman Sonkar (Hero Moto), that Jagjit Sir passed away... We both cried for an hour over phone to calm each other....I am having tears writing these words as well.

I was so lucky to have experienced Jagjit ji's soulful singing, not once but twice in Chicago (2004 and 2006). He visited Chicago in 2009 but I couldn't be there at his concert. What an artist he was 🙏
