Hi everyone just to say thanks for watching from Lee and myself (Rick)

Great job Lee. Much better corrosion resistance & screwed together than the C reg XJ6 & F reg Ford Sierra I had in the 90s

Thanks mate 👍 The sills are known to rot out on these... Not taken the covers off yet as I'm dreading what I'll find. Surprised no anti-corrosion stuff in the doors though...

At least there’s good access when you’ve removed the foam. Maybe warming up the glue would have made pulling the foam off easier but appreciate you’ve had it with this car so understand why you just cut it 🤣

Thanks Mike... Yes, it was weird stuff, heating it up just made a gooey mess. Cutting it was much easier. It was just another job I didn't want to do, so the quicker I got ot done, the better.

That looked the sort of job that would have me speaking french 😂 Lee that glass looked a bit stiff in the runners, do you think it’s possible that the glass being stiff in the runners caused extra stress on that plastic pin. Up to you but is it worth squirting some silicone or ptfe lube down the rubber window channels.

Thanks Mate. The glass was snug but did slide easily enough. I was just being gentle with it as I didn't want to break anything else.

Great video. I was keen on this car, love the styling on the estate. You have changed my mind though, expensive to run and expensive to maintain. Would have expected better build quality on a Jag

Thanks Matt. 👍 They're an oddball car if im honest... Running costs are high, as expected being a 2.5 AWD auto.. Jaaaaag... Kinda well screwed together, but tarnished with cheap van plastics... To drive, it can be as docile as a fat labrador, or mental as a scalded cat... I like the car, but it's frustrating to own... But, when it works, it works well and serves a purpose.

This X Type is just like the one that the Queen had. Surely it isn't lol. Now, my X Type's front passenger window is playing up. It will go down no problem but only comes back up in fits and starts. It puts the wind up me because it seems as though it's stuck open but then moves up a couple of inches and gradually gets to the top. I daren't open it again. Have you any suggestions, Lee.
