Great Job! I highly recommend you to remove rubber seal between cap hole and engine cover. It always risk to put some sand into engine.

As its not shown on video did you change the oil filter case o ring ? Also heres a tip for you. When changing the oil filter loosen the 32mm nut and turn the case open two turns and leave whilst you suck out the oil. This will allow filter housing to drain and stops it all dripping over the engine.

Hi Bob, yes I did change the o ring. Thanks very much for the oil filter tip, my son's VW has the oil filter on the top and as you say, anything to stop getting oil all over the place is a bonus. Take care, Jeff

Jeff Great video for cars like that jag its I deal no getting under neath I like that I dear hope you feel better soon this time of year far too much flue going round I have had my flue jab and Covic booster jab you should have them jeff regards to jenny Phil in stoke

Brilliant as usual Jeff. You make it all look so easy. 1 question, the old method of draining oil used to involve removing a magnetic plug, which attracted metal particles. Does this affect aluminium engines? Cheers Phil on holiday in Thailand

Hi Phil and thank you. I don't think the Jaguar has a magnetic plug. I would normally grovel underneath and do it the normal way, but the tube that Jaguar put in goes right to the bottom of the sump. Also most people would warm the oil up first to make it less viscous, but I was recommended not to do that as any particles would not have got back to the sump by the time you drain it. I noticed you didn't start the car to allow the filter to fill up and circulate and check for leaks ?

Hi Alvin, maybe I didn't show that. I would normally start the car for a bit and then take it for a drive. After letting it settle for a while I would check the level again. Take care, Jeff

Thanks for that , looked on eBay ,they all seem from china , that were yours come from ,so much better then getting underneath , Got XF, normally put on 4 axle stands ,this so much easier ,

I just hate getting those under trays off. Had I not remembered I had the pump thing in the garden box, I was quite expecting to get underneath

@@DiecastPowderCoating As far as i'm aware, Each ring on the pump body = 1 litre of oil removed. When you 1st started to pump it sounded like the vaccum release valve was left open?

A tip for next time You put the wrong oil in you used c3 its vital to use c1 in the jaguar xf 3.0d because of the dpf

The best way to save money is DONT buy a jag xf they are a headache after headache. I have one with only 30k on it and here is the issues after only 12 months of owning this thing. 1. The gearbox is awfull and jumpy, it doesnt let the car coast freely it feels like its trying to brake. 2. The rear door filled up with water. 3. That sat nav cuts out all the time. 4. The car virates slightly when in slow traffic. 5. Both abs sensors failed 6. Its very underpowered for a "premium car" 7. The overhead storage is broke, very flimsey. 8. The alloys crack and peel 9. The car rocks back and forward under heavy acceleration. 10. The steering has developed a whining noise. Terrible car

Oh dear, I can see why you don't like them. It is my Father in Laws now, but apart from an alternator when I first got it and the other couple of issues on my channel, is not been a bad car. Time will tell. Take care, Jeff
