Donnette Mathieson Wow, I'm so sorry to hear that sista. Stay strong and continue to live your life and learn yourself others mistakes along with your own. We all make bad decisions but the best way is learning from others mistakes so that we can walk upright. Keep your head high and I'm glad you stumbled across my comment. Because of what your father has done you never really know the circumstances that lead to that either so don't let that keep you down. Parents make mistakes and have to live with them. The best you can do is forgive, learn from theirs and strive to do better from the mistakes they've done. I haven't been through too much but even though I had a father and mother in my life I wasn't taught morals, self respect, values ect. I don't blame them for not knowing because I know now but I carry myself totally different from the past because of the man in my life who has guided me because my ass was going straight to the left. When I hear stories like yours it aches my heart to know that our people are dealing with so much heartaches, pains and struggles. You, we will persevere in the end.
