I see a small trend going on hear abt the word Kusvikirwa. Most pple are not too happy abt the word being used to describe the energy levels of Jah. Sorry for the lecture guys but I believe my fellow Zimbos we should start being proud of ourselves. This young man has made me proud to be zimbo by making one of our venac languages cool again. Kusvikirwa is not a negative connotation and should never be used as such. Kusvikirwa describes a phenomenon where a spiritual entity transfugures into a living body. Kana kuchechi vanochemera nemweya mutsvene wani. Kana uri mweya wekuti tisvetuke tichinakirwa nenziyo dzezimbabwe ngaasvikirwe zvake mwana uyu. Stop associating every traditional African practice with evil simply because you are now following a 'white' religion. Madzitateguru simply means forefathers. Mudzimu simply means spirit. I will refuse that my Shona tradition and culture be called a dark culture in favour of foreign traditions and religions. I hope more Zimbos can join me in this fight.

Very well said Kay. I'm with you 100%, couldn't have said it better myself. A lot of my people are so confused and lost these days, busy chasing and following foreign religions, religions used by our colonial masters as a tool to break us spiritually in order to conquer us, yes divide and conquer, they succeeded, no debate about that!. How sad it is that after so many years of political independence we still find ourselves unable to break those chains of mental bondage placed on us all those years ago. No wonder families are breaking apart, we have lost our commonness. One brother following this religion, another that....very sad!
