Hey all!
I'm back with some more music!
This time, we're looking ahead and the future is bright. Sonic has removed Robotnik's machines, and only the bright lights and colorful sights await....and a pink haired hedgehog who can't seem to take a hint.
I hope you all enjoy my take on one of my favorite tracks in Sonic CD! I present "The Best Timeline" for Stardust Speedway Good Future JP.

Y'know, it's kinda funny. I'd been in the worst emotional state I've ever been in before, thinking "where did it all go wrong," and then I find this song. A little something to tell me that maybe things are supposed to be this way, and that my hurt now is only one step to the good future and a happy ending. Now I'm seeing the sun shine every day and picking myself up from that dark place. Thanks for that, friend. 💙

Artwork like the one above is really what helps elevate Sonic CD as the legendary game that it is. It really has everything you can love about not just Sonic but any action platformer ever. Coming out at a time where the legacy of the series as it stood was on the constant up and up. This game above most of the others had it all, the adventure, the vistas, a wilderness about its landscapes, mystery, traveling through time to prevent a potential and irreparable disaster, epic confrontations, speed, and a little innocent romance sprinkled in on top of it. All that and much more is what makes this game legendary for me, the full package as you could call it. Their may never be another game quite like it.

I just wish the game was a bit more consistent. While you do have those amazing zones like Palmtree Panic and Stardust Speedway that will leave you in wonder as you dash through their gorgeous landscapes, you also have over-designed stages like Collision Chaos and Wacky Workbench where exploration is more of a chore than anything. I think Scott the Woz puts it best: “At its best it’s the best, at its worst it’s the worst.”

@@survivorstudios WAcky Workbench is a CLASSIC, one of the most original and unique sonic levels EVER. The whole gam is the best level design in any 2D Sonic game ever imo.

I feel that the American good future soundtrack has a feel of everything being said and done, there is nothing left for Sonic or, by extension, the player. However, I like the Japanese good future themes better as they capture the feeling of a utopia, a safe haven, that life can continue to thrive in beyond the limits of the game.

Sonic CD is my favorite Classic game of all time! The super peel-out, the saving a girl from harm, traveling through time, racing against an evil doppleganger of yourself, and collecting time stones!?! WAY PAST COOL!!!!

There's something on Sonic CD that I find incredibly nostalgic, despite having only played S3&K when I was a kid. Maybe it's the aesthetic, the music, the dread coming from the bad futures, the hand drawn animations, it kinda reminds me of the old Sonic cartoons (except Sonic X, which I had only watched the first 3 episodes but still loved) and the comics. I mean, even the name Little Planet, I can't help but think of Mobius when I hear about it!

@@TheSnowfallen We don't know if it was going to be like Sonic 1 where each zone would of had three acts or similar to the Metropolis Zone from Sonic 2 where certain stages would have 3 acts. EDIT - That's assuming nobody's found out what that was intended for and we still don't know.

After many, and I mean, MANY years, I've rounded up back here. After watching a bit of the Sonic Movie not too long ago on my TV, I went into a full Sonic Mode and bought Mania during the sale, reinstalling my copy of Adventure 2, started watching Boom and X on Netflix, and went cycling listening to Stardust Speedway 2 from Mania, and in the corner of my playlist, this song appeared. I remember putting this as my alarm, ringtone and just jammin' to it on my way to school. Both this good future and bad future remix you've made are unforgettable, so THANK YOU for making this work of beauty.

I'm super late to this upload; but better late than never I suppose. What an astounding remix. For someone who listens to remixes of classic OST's to study to, preferably fast paced with a slow undertone (due to my ADHD); this hit every beat I needed it to. It's somehow both calming and enthusiastic in tone. I hope to see more of this in the future; preferably the good future. Thanks Jahn.
