He is NOT mediocre, look at some of his other videos on youtube....he has a sincerity and pureness when he sings his own work and when he plays his guitar. The trouble is that the viewing public loses the point of this show....its to showcase the artist with their strengths and weaknesses to arrive at a style that is marketable! How could Jai and Taylor know that they could perform so well without a guitar if not for Ronan? Also, listen to this video without viewing it...great voice!

Song selection is each week is by theme. Jai's selected a song and Jai went along with it. I thought, while it might not be "his thing," he still took it on and performed way above my assumption. 12/10 for having the courage to do that song and I'd give 9/10 on delivery. I'm not a singing coach, but increase breath support and mask resonance on the loud sustained notes. Your strength is sweet innocence from the heart on the quiet notes like in the audition. Well done and keep having fun!

"I can't dance." Why did he lie?? :D He was awesome!!! I was anxiously waiting for something totally different from his other performances and I got it!! He can't sing just the ballads beautifully, this week he showed everyone that he is a happy, playfully 14 year old kid :) And he sounded perfect while he was dancing..even huge superstars can't do this so hats off Jai!! :)
