I remember when you played this song at Hard Summer. When you played this song, I teared up because right when my friend passed away, this was the first song I listened to and I knew he was watching over me. And my recent memory from "Cloak and Dagger" was us watching this show together. We were gonna watch it all before he passed away from COVID. Now... Everytime I listen to this, I keep getting the same image in my head. I see me and my closest friends all out in the middle of a grassy plain at night just staring up at the stars and enjoying the absolute HECK outta each other's company. Sadly, I don't think that'll ever happen though. My friends aren't real into any of that kind of sappy stuff. But I just hope one day I'll get to experience something close to it. I remember one winter night here in Maine. It had snowed, about a foot. I woke up for some reason, it was 130am. And I stood outside. The snow had stopped, all was still and crystal clear. Silent. And the starlight...! I went in and woke my kidos. "Come outside! Come on!" We played outside in the newly fallen snow, the road had not even been plowed. When I listen to this song, I think of seeing my first total solar eclipse. We drove miserably for hours into the middle of nowhere in the early morning. When the sun was about to be fully covered in the late morning, I suddenly realized there was no pair of glasses for me. So I just…looked up. I stared bare-eyed at the sun as the diamond ring erupted and I was sure I was going to hurt myself, but seeing that moment was something I will never forget. (And I’m not blind, yay! ) Every time I hear this song, I can’t help but remember, so it’s become very special to me.
