The thing about all the arrows constantly changing colors? All the older DDRs before a certain point did that. They cycled from gold to blue and back, and the ones on the half-beats had their cycle offset from the ones on the beat. Once they thought to try solid color-coding, everybody preferred it and nobody wanted to go back. Konami sometimes takes awhile to catch on to things.

Fun fact: not only does this game use mario party 5’s models it also apparently uses it’s engine. I don’t know how they took mario party and made ddr in it but they did it.
