I just love how Jaiden makes every death feel so impactful by adding little snippets of the mons chilling with her and Jacob and just overall pouring so much life and personality into them with the way they move, the faces and gestures they make etc. Whether it be the Franklins chilling, eating berries and wearing flower crowns (and just the whole segment where Jacob and Jaiden reminiscent about them on their death), one Plapp riding onto another while their trainers stroll to the next location, the Darphaels having a roasted marshmallow party or Micheal giving Jaiden a look of concern before looking back towards his death, they all feel like they really were more than just team members to carry their trainer to victory, and this is why their deaths legit *hurt*

Not in terms of stats, or moveset. It's got some good tricks, but the main reason you want a Shuckle is either charm or berry juice.

Summary: Jaiden and I both had Froslass PTSD too, if you know. You know. Nervousness rising when that Froslass killed one of my Pokemon (or didn't get lucky). I'm doing a randomizer nuzlocke too just to make it even more agonizing and painful.

as someone who just did a gym battle in one of my nuzlockes where a meganium (who somehow knew ancient power) singlehandedly killed FIVE of my pokémon by himself bc he got FOUR CRITS IN A ROW through a light screen AFTER an omni-boost… coming back to this was very cathartic🥲

I'm marathoning all the Pokemon game animations and HOLY SHIT watching Jaiden's animation improve video to video is such a treat! The details, the PERSONALITY!!! Every little movement and how they accent the action is jaw dropping every time and NOTICING the increases in those aspects makes it all the more amazing upon a marathon rewatch Also thank you for your entire channel, Jaiden. My ace brother showed me this video (I already watched your videos tho) and it made so much sense for me. But also, learned a new thing myself. I relate a lot to the aro part, and I kept taking over the video to talk about my experience. My brother was like, “but you have had relationship. I gotta say... I think Jacob's biggest weakness is his cockiness. I feel like that's what keeps him being a relatively average Pokemon nuzlocke player, every time he does alright he acts like he's invincible. He's like a real-life Silver: A mid tier with an Icarus complex.
