Yeah, because that's how it is. Jaime's actor is a terrible swordsman, while Ned's is an experienced actor with plenty of experience as a swordsman. Jaime is supposed to be the best fighter alive at this point, but his actor (and the directors hating Jaime almost as bad as they hate Stannis) holds that fact back

They dont have 2 actors go sword fight and whoever is better real life sword fighter gets the upper hand… any attack or defense is scripted to look like that, just because Jamie’s actor sucks, doesn’t mean he’s going to get hit more or mess up more

He would be a little difficult but Jaime would kill him without any wounds. The only peopel Jaime would have a problem with is literally Hound, Viper, Mountain, Arthur and Barristan. Everyone else, Jaime would have a big chance winning.

Jamie was dragging out the fight because he was enjoying himself. He feels most alive when sword fighting. If he wanted, he could have killed Ned in seconds.

@KingSlayer_. That was not depicted at all lol The show wanted to show they were on equal footing and neither really were gaining ground and Jaimie clearly was pissed with the guy who stabbed Ned in the back of the leg

@@kingzseventh7017 yes, the show wanted to show "they were equal" (btw i dont think they did the fight between them to show that, probably they wanted to hint that jaime has honor) but in the books this doesnt happen, and martin has constantly said in books and interviews, that only barristan and arthur dayne were above jaime

Jaime is barely better than young ned, young ned kept up with ser arthur dayne and in books we have to assume he killed ser arthur dayne. Which is a feat jaimie couldnt even dream of

We see when they fight in Kings Landing Jaime has always doubted Ned killed Arthur Dayne so he’s playing with Ned initially and almost gets his head chopped off for it. Jaime managed to avoid the hit and smiles because Ned it a lot better than he thought and as the fight went on you can see the creeping dread appearing to Jaime that it could be true that Ned got a lucky shot on Dayne and that’s how he killed him and if Jaime wasn’t careful then he’d meet the same fate as his idol but just as they were about to go all out Ned was stabbed in the leg depriving Jaime of finding out the truth

Have any of you acrually read the books this comment section is Atrocious, a prime ned was shitting himself 2v1 vs Arthur Dayne, and Jaime isnt out of that realm when it comes to combat, and is either on par with if not equal to him. Jaime is confident he could beat the fuckin mountain one v one. Its like comparing handless jaime to the hound, not a fight.

Id put 1 or two of these towards ned, mainly base IQ. With overall a low-mid difference. Jamie clearly is better but not by a overwhelming amount. Maybe wins 6/10

One of the best battle iq (military men) comprise of the black fish Robert baratheon stannis baratheon tywin lannister and Eddard stark also robb stark among many . Jaime isn't the best military man, not even counted among asoiaf book worms on KZfaq(if tywins on the list, then Jaime shouldn't be . Even tyrion takes the w)

@@prska well he did keep Jaime at bay before getting stabbed through the leg by the guard behind him. Ned was known to be one of the best fighters during Robert’s rebellion.

Book Ned, Show Ned, young Ned, old Ned.... it's all the same. Ned didn't fight or anything like Jamie did. He only fought when there was something worth fighting for. Like family honor etc and when you fight when there's only something worth fighting for, that makes you more dangerous than anything
