I finish my modern design of the hidden blades from Assassin's Creed. The hidden blades from Assassin's Creed have always had flaws when recreated in real life. This is my attempt to fix this iconic element of Assassin's Creed, and it's right on time with the release of the new teasers for Assassin's Creed Mirage, Codename Red, Codename Jade, Codename Hexe!!

@@space1340 I don't think it's that much of an issue. A backpack wouldn't be out of place today and would blend in well thus not revealing anything about the weapon hidden in the sleeve.

I think a super cool way of making the activation switches more stealthy is to put them in to a glove. Have the wire route through the glove material in like a double layered fabric to cover it from all sides and have the momentary switch stitched in to the side of the finger like where it is on the ring currently. That way it could be any kind of glove as well so it could be fingerless gloves past where the switch needs to be, or just full normal gloves.

Love what you have done with the design of the blades. Truly awesome, and one of the best renditions of the hidden blade. I have some critical points though, in a fight if the opponent cuts the tubes to your blades or the tubes develop a leak, the blades will not work. And since you have taken the design from the games, the blades in the games whose mechanism never broke. The one time a hidden blade did break, only the blade broke and not the mechanism. My second critical point is that for the blades to function you will have to carry the backpack everywhere, and you wouldn't be able to remove the backpack without someone's help which defeats the purpose of stealth.

When you find the ancient race project. This does really look cool and fits modern days. I wish I could have one or two of thoose too. I got Edward's replica and it gave me this much satisfaction when deploying a blade, this much fun when popping a baloon with mid-flight kill, I started to recreate kills from the gsme and I enjoy it. Friends tell me to replace plastic blade with a real one, but I assume some day I'll do a whole thing from scratch like this guy did

I'm curious about how well it can thrust with its own extension. For example, put your hand on the target, extend and retract the blade so that the blade is not seen and your arm doesn't seem to make any thrust. For the target, I'm looking forward to seeing you test those hidden blades on something, in term of durability, similar to: - human skin and flesh, - common clothes, - gambeson, - chainmail, - plate armour. Thank you for your interesting project!

Awesome design! Only things I would add would be two guards, since I know I would end up hurting myself... One guard to hold the sleeve so it doesn't ride up and potentially catch the knives, and one to go against the inside of the wrist for kinetic feedback of where the knives are going to come out.

Difference between /2 and /3 is /2 has 2 positions, provide pressure to extend or provide pressure to retract, and /3 has the same 2 positions, but between them is a position that cuts off the pressure
