the male figure in his life is crap and treats women like trash, this shows just how awesome karen peralta is at raising him. mad props to the mom.

Feminist women love Jake Peralta 🛐

He is so sweet and he cares a lot. We all want a respectful man like him.

One thing I really like about Jake as a feminist is that he never acts like he knows everything about the subject. A lot people trying to defend a cause like feminism can often act like they know everything on the subject or speak for all women kind, but Jake doesn’t. But Jake shows that it’s okay not to know everything but that all we need is the willingness to learn and the willingness to stand up for what’s right

Also when Amy is pregnant he actually educates himself a lot on how labour is gonna be for her and is never grossed out by it which is actually refreshing to see

Kudos to the writers of this show. Being able to touch upon sensitive issues like sexism and racism and still be funny and not patronizing.

I love the fact that he always wants Amy to succeed and isn’t intimidated by her success and intelligence. He was always there to help push her forward and never hold her back.

Also the episode where he stood up to the homophobic detective when he insulted Holt, Jake is one of the best good guys out there

I love that they didn’t dramatize it, like it’s casual, like he knows women are great and he’s okay with learning more and he never disrespects a woman even when he’s in a bad situation! I wanna be with someone like Jake!

People constantly say there can never be a show as funny as The Office again because people are “too sensitive” and you “can’t make offensive jokes anymore” … I loved The Office and when I first watched it it

I like that when they make it a joke, the joke is not that the sentiments and ideas are wrong, the joke is he's awkward at expressing them because Jake is bad at speaking.
