Sanderson is a very well-rounded defenseman who has just recently signed an entry-level contract with the Ottawa Senators, the team that selected him #5 overall in the 2020 NHL Entry Draft. Sanderson played as a sophomore this year for the University of North Dakota, and was also part of team USA for the 2022 IIHF World Junior Championships and the 2022 Olympics in Beijing.

Me as as Sens fan, thinks that Jake Sanderson is NHL ready to be a top 4 defenseman. I don't think that defence is going to be as much of an issue, as everyone think. After watching these highlights, that's what I think.

Watching Jake play in NCAA is like creating an 85 overall in EA and sticking him on a CHL team. It’s just not fair to the other teams.

@David that is yet to be seen. Fox, Makar, Quinn Hughes, lots of really talented players in defense in nhl. But I'm an ottawa fan and I watch him play and he impresses me every game. I love the team we have right now
