Jake Sullivan's job as a spokeperson is to answer questions directly with the gravitas of the question asked, even ones he doesn't like. At this level, his unprofessional conduct is inexcusable. He must be fired. He is representing the United States of America, a position that required acting respectable and conducting one's self beyond reproach. If he wasn't up to the position he should not have accepted the position. Now, he must be fired.

As a US government official at the highest level, it is imperative that Jake Sullivan must take cognizance of the Genocide Convention, an international treaty, and the interim ruling of the ICJ in the case South Africa brought against Israel. He can't talk as if these things don't matter. He is behaving like a 3rd rate snake oil salesperson, to whom facts don't matter -- just close the sale.
