Thank you so much! We appreciate you watching us perform! To answer your question, we generally accept anybody 16 years and older...with few exceptions if parents are around regularly. You can definitely do the thing if you want to, we're always looking for new members!

Awesome. Glad you like it. I was a trombone player with Bucs this year. DCA is all-age, we had ages 15-42 I think. We’ll be in Indy next year so that’s super exciting too. Looking back, it’s really quite impressive what we (and the rest of DCA, for that matter) accomplished with weekend only rehearsals.

Unlike DCI, these All-Age corps practice and perform only on weekends - like the old days when I started marching in the early '70's! I marched Reading Buccaneers snare line in 1983 and helped instruct the pit in 1984/85. It was so great to attend the Buc's Banquet last night - saw old friends and made new friends!

We are thrilled to have made a new all age fan!!! This was such a fun show to design and thrilled that you enjoyed it! Age range is generally mid to late teens through mid 30’s-early 40’s! It’s a unique version of the activity and it’s a blast!

I marched Skyliners this year and we had a 69 year old Mello player out there killin' it with us! Super awesome to see the wide variety of ages!

Age range varies greatly in groups and it's getting younger. I have seen members as young as 12-13 and as old as 62.

They were amazing! Sorry to hear that DCA is going away, DCA and DCI are merging in 2024. Reading Buccaneers won the first DCA Championship in 1965! We are calling it 'Bookends'. Won the first, and won the last!

To be fair, as soon as he heard DCA's announcer give the correct pronunciation, he acknowledged his mistake. But your comment reminds me that there ought to be a drum corps Gnadenhutten, Ohio.

Wow, both DCA and DCI are sh*t. What with the poop squats, goofy leg movements, electric guitars, etc. why not just call it Drum Band? It’s certainly no longer Drum Corps.

If I was referring to what I said, my user name would be ThisIsJustCrazyTalk. However, I was referring to everything you said, starting with mispronouncing the city name of Reading, as crazy talk; hence, the user name of ThatIsJustCrazyTalk. Learn English, and stop butchering the language.

@@ThatIsJustCrazyTalk He corrected himself on the city name as soon as he heard the announcer give it. There are lots of towns across America whose pronunciation is hard to guess. Consider Louisville, Kentucky vs. Louisville, Ohio. Likewise, if you've never been to southeast Pennsylvania or southeast England, you might not know how Reading is pronounced.

Who cares about the nuances between this and that. His comment is spot on for a lot of traditional DC enthusiasts. Using trombones fuels the argument. Where do you draw the line between traditional and progressive? IDK, but this is no longer Drum Corps.
