Jalen, you proved today what the word team means more at Alabama Football than any other place. you wrote you name in Crimson Flames today and you will always be remembered with the likes of Alabama quarter backs like, Namath, Sloan, Stabler, Davis, Rutledges, Todd, Fraley, Coker, Wilson, and so many more that were replaced or took over when needed, or shared QB duties to make Alabama Teams great over the years. it is not about individual glory, it is about winning as a team and playing your role. Cherish your memories, accomplishments, but more than that your teamates and the close bond with them that you have developed. Roll Tide Roll, Former Student Trainer 1970 - 1974, E. Parsons.

I've been Jalen's fan since day 1 and never doubted his ability! His attitude shows how much class he has, any other QB would have transferred. Tua is a great QB and I hope he gets well soon, but just like Jalen had to work on his throwing, Tua need to work on his running....it has to feel good to have the best of both worlds with two QBs! @ImNotMad ButUR Good post. I'm not gonna deny that Tua is a great quarterback but so is Jalen. But they are two different kinds of quarterbacks. Jalen was going thru a slump in last year's Natty and they had to put Tua in to try and spark something. And he did. And hit and unbeleivable play in overtime to win the game. That spark Tua lit became a fire. And he's been rolling every since until last night in the SEC championship. Now he's slumping and went out with an injury as you know. Jalen stepped up like the champion he is. And HE pulled off an unbelievable comeback. Now he's the Hero! AGAIN! Like he has been is so many games since he got to Alabama! What's happens from here on out ? I don't know ? But Jalen will always be one of Bama's all time greats. He has led our guys like a MAN. Even while on the bench. Classy man. Pure athelete. The appetomy of courage and determination. Roll Tide! And Roll Jalen! This world needs more like him.
@randyjordan55215 жыл бұрын
@ImNotMad ButUR I liked most of your comments, but as a Bama fan, I didn't "turn on Jalen with a vengeance" after the Clemson loss. If you recall, Jalen ran for the go-ahead TD in that game with just two minutes left. It was Bama's exhausted defense that allowed Clemson to drive back down the field to score the winning TD. I, along with most other people, knew that Tua was a phenom coming in last year, but I never believed that that automatically made Jalen a loser. I thought that Jalen should have still been the starter because of his proven success and his extra year of experience. Jalen proved yesterday that he can do pretty much the same things Tua does. I'm just glad that Bama has two great QBs who can lead their team to victory.

ImNotMad ButUR well spoken. Last year they wanted his dumbass(getting his degree this month)gone. Said he would never be anything. Now I guess winning this game was his fault also!!!
@truthdetector93715 жыл бұрын
@ ImNotMad - Jalen wore out the defense all year in 2016/17 because he didn't have the ability to maintain drives (ie couldn't throw).It finally caught up with us against Auburn 2017 (after almost 2 years). Real arm chair coaches (like me) know Jalen should have been replaced sooner. If they had, we would have another Natty. FACTS!! RTR!!

@randyjordan55215 жыл бұрын
@@randyalderman2767 It's ironic that Cobb, who grew up 15 minutes away from Neyland Stadium, declined to sign with Tennessee because they wouldn't promise him that he could play QB. So he signed with KY, and didn't play QB there, either, except for wildcat packages. Maybe Jalen could sign with an NFL team and do what Kordell Stewart did for the Steelers for several years.

Jalen is a fine display of humility. I don’t think any other player at his level could’ve handled the year he had, bettered himself, and have full redemption AND some. Make that a lesson to all the kids out there - always have faith. When you endure and have faith all the way, you will receive grace. Grace begins where human ability ends. How lucky Jalen got to have this life experience at such a young age.
