I'm older than this guy and he has absolutely has my respect as a man and a pro. As father, I know Coach Hurts is going insane right now. What a great young man.

I can't believe anyone thought that Hurts wouldn't succeed to some degree in the NFL. This guy has one major trait that sets him apart from most of the other "fringe" players that get drafted: he learns fast no matter where he goes or what happens to him. After he got benched at Alabama, he stayed the course and bounced back to rescue his team in an SEC title game. Then he went to Oklahoma and became a much better passer and decision-maker in just one season. Guys who demonstrate that they can learn and adapt quickly are always good bets as pros. Now, I didn't think he'd become an all-pro QB so quickly, but he has defied so many expectations that at this point I'm not sure what his ceiling is. Great player.
