Yes, you're right, the intervals between my uploads are longer than usual in March. There are reasons for that and it will get better. I'm currently struggling a bit with the general mood in society. Unfortunately, I can't differentiate myself from it because my children are constantly exposed to it and then have to take a stand. Unfortunately, life in Germany has changed and I view developments very, very critically.
But I know that such phases always pass for me and that's why I'm looking forward to spring 2024 very positively. Especially this year's Superbooth from May 16th - 18th, 2024. I'm not sure which day I'm going to Berlin yet, but I'm sure I'm going. If there are people in my community who are going to the Superbooth, let me know and maybe we can arrange something.
To today's jam.
I really like the Volca FM. Not as much as the bass but yes, I like it, why? Very simple: you have polyphony, you have a sequencer, an arpeggiator, you can choose the beat between FULL, 1/2 or 1/4 and what is particularly important: you have motion recording. So you can record almost any button on the Volca FM and spice up your performance and jam. I've been missing this feature so many times with the Volca Bass.
Just pay attention to how I vary the jam by using different features of the Volca FM like velocity modulator and carrier attack and decay and the LFO. You can even install or automate the algorithm button.
I recorded this jam in one piece. Everything is improviced.
(Funfact: I placed the Volca on my children's painting mat. Maybe you'll notice something)

Most of the Time I am using the Specular Reverb v3 for my jams.
Sometimes the NTS-1 with the Cathedral Preset or just the iPad.

loved the whole thing. the evolution of the jam was awesome. very clever using the algorithm switcher as a kind of fuzzer or noise generator.
