Great Summary Ricardo. The best sports show on the planet!!. Thank you for highlighting the Queen Shelly-Ann's final Olympics and likely last time running on Jamaican soil. This should be marketed for the meet and fans to come out. If I didn't have a lot going on, I'd be there to see her for sure. Can never say enough thanks to Shelly-Ann for being the great ambassador. Excellence personified!

I have changed my mind about going to the Jamaica National Trials this weekend a few times. As at earlier today, I decided not to go but now that Ricardo Chambers spoke about what this Trials will mean for SAFP, I think I owe it to her!!! I will be there to see her off!! 💕💯💯🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🍻👍

Shelly's 38 in December, Elaine's 32 tomorrow & Shericka's 30 in less than 3wks - it's a Changing of the Guard! Time for the next generation to start stepping up; Lanae-Tava Thomas, Kevona Davis, Clayton Twins, Brianna Lyston, Briana Williams, Alana Reid, Kemba Nelson, Serena Cole, Krystal Sloley etc.

I agree. I still feel Elaine and Shericka will dominate Jam sprinting for at most another 3-5 years. Hopefully by then the youngsters you've mentioned have stepped up. I'm most excited about Tina. She seems to be most talented of the twins

@@khumokwezimashapa2245 Feel more confident with Shericka (if she keeps on top of her weight & continues her good luck with injuries) being competitive up to LA '28 as a 34yr old in her 4th Olympics more so than a much more injury-prone Elaine who'll be 36 by then! Of that group of youngsters, Brianna Lyston, Kevona Davis, Lanae-Tava Thomas, Briana Williams & Kemba Nelson should ideally be the ones to step up as early as next yr.

An athlete from USA ate contaminated meat of which he should be suspended, he got a pat on his shoulder. A Jamaican athlete made comments about our management from last year. They waited over nine months to suspend him why so long. The slap in their face for me is we don't qualify for the 4×400 men

If the # of members in JAAA management team is determined based on the team size after national trials, were the JAAA's accusations premature and really should be after the trials when team size will be known?
@MarshasJourney
@MarshasJourney 3 күн бұрын
I don’t think it’s premature. JOA seems intent on sending the minimum required. Them too stingy and both them and JAA need a new body altogether. Too much old man throwing their ego around.

@beistrong8635 not as deep as the womens hurdles jamaica has two or three guys that can potentially reach the paris finals an who have achieved the qualifying marks. Take away those two or three guys would the feild still be as deep? Now let's do the same thing with the female hurdles we have atleast 12 ladies who have achieved the qualifying standards an any 3 of those can make the hurdles finals. Hope u get my drift. So the jumps are deep but not as deep as the female sprint hurdles

I think Shelly-Ann Fraser should take some of the un-necessary pressure off of her self, Age wise, As well as her unlikely capable of winning the 200m, She should just cruse home focusing on running the 100m and the 4x100m, If she was capable of winning the 200m, oh yes, do so and steep away with a bang and bragging right, The more the better, But, there come a time when the Heart is willing but the system is saying otherwise
