EXPOSING the DISINFORMATION campaign against Jamaica and the Bahamas that turned out to be the most embarrassing moments in the history of State Department Travel Advisory system to date.

The information about crime and the level of Jamaica Travel Advisory and the Bahamas Travel Advisory has NOT changed. It's been there for 2 years, yet the media decided to report the "news". This was done deliberately to discourage Americans from visiting the Caribbean. However, it turned out that the problem goes way beyond the Travel Advisory for Jamaica.
What we are witnessing today is actually one of the most embarrassing moments in the history of State Department Travel Advisory system, because not only Jamaica Travel advisory disinforms and misguides American citizens who wish to travel to Jamaica, it also undermines the entire system of Travel Advisories for all other countries, basically does the opposite of what it is designed to do.

I believe the main reason may be behind Jamaica refusing the latest Ambassador to Jamaica and so they wanted to punish Jamaica. They did the same thing during the 1970s when Jimmy Carter was President. They hated Michael Manley and his "socialist" policies, so they blacklisted Jamaica. Fortunately, many tourists from other parts of the world came to Jamaica and the Americans lost out on a great vacation in Jamaica. Today many on social media have been debunking the Advisory and many vacationers are listening to them and not the American News Media. Great Vlog.

Well, Jamaica gov is given a parliamentary job to a very races white man who put threats out on one of our Melanin sister in UK. He was not reprimanded but instead given a luxurious position and paid in Jamaica.

We hung out at the resort, went on a few tours, walked to a grocery store a few times, walked around montego bay. We actually got a little suckered into an impromptu tour where a local guy showed us around Montego Bay but he was super nice and knowledgable, and gave us a great tour around town. We ended up handing him some money and thanking him for his time and he recommended a great place for lunch (which was fantastic). But that's a thing to watch out for I guess. Things we avoided were: unknown taxis (we only got taxis through the resort), randos outside the resort asking if we were looking for drugs to buy (no thanks we're good). Just general travel safety stuff you'd do anywhere.

I honestly feel much safer in Jamaica as a US citizen than I did in the US, although I heard about shootings when I was in Jamaica, the first week I went back to the US I heard gunshots ringing, and I was living in a pretty safe neighborhood in a college town. So the State department really and truly has some introspection

So there was a spike in crime in 2017, the last time I had traveled to Ja. Miraculously, that was the visit that I traveled MOST off the beaten path than I ever had and all I received was the Jamaican people I was spending my time with was spending their time making sure I was good in every situation. Even when I fainted in a shanty bar up the mountains outside of Ochi and opened my eyes to a dozen patrons waving me with books as a fan and making sure I would be ok.

Awesome. These are the stories that people don't know about. I am Jamaican amd my wife is American (White). When we travel to Jamaica (our 5th coming up in April since 2016), she loves going to the Local Joints.. even outside of the Cities in Rural areas...Country (Rural) Bars are her favorite (mine too)...and everywhere we stop, the People are so AMAZING and FRIENDLY (of course I knew that growing up there). But so Cool to see and experience it from the "other side".

I feel much safer in Jamaica than anywhere in the USA. I was in Jamaica for a week and was relieved to be in a place where mass murders do not happen on a almost daily basis. USA is one of the most dangerous countries on earth where you do not know if you will be gunned down going to the supermarket or the mall.

I am a a Jamaican living abroad . I have a home in Jamaica and I go to Jamaica Two times per year , sometime three times per year when my mother was alive. I feel very safe going to do my errands , going to the grocery store, banks , tax office etc . Never felt any danger . I go to the grocery store in the US , and I wonder if I am going to be a victim of mass shooting while shopping for groceries. My Elementary school grand children have shooting drills in school here in the us. Wow !!!! I was born and raised in Jamaica , and we have never have shooting drills in school , churches etc. this crusade to tarnish Jamaica needs to stop. People , stop being naive, think for yourself . In between social media feeds that are self serving at times , turn on the evening news. And see for yourself selves how many murders and robberies happens across the us daily . Better yet read the news paper . Yes , there is something called the NEWS PAPER.

I would really love for you to do a vlog on some of the developments taking place in Jamaica. I don't think the people living in Jamaica understand, know or appreciate the developments taking place in Jamaica. I watched several volgers on KZfaq so I know some of the developments that are happening and now wishing that I was younger. I follow 3 different resort fan pages on Facebook. I just shared this to each of them. I have always found the advisory coming from the US laughable . As a Canadian I can honestly say I would be much more concerned traveling to the US then Jamaica. I have NEVER heard about the Jamaican children having shooter drills. ✌️💕

In my mind, the travel advisory media campaign is pretty straightforward. It directly coincides with the recent Airbnb bust in the USA. People have to be selling their properties due to low occupancy. Also, there has been a significant decline in Americans visiting local attractions in the USA post COVID. I’m flattered as a Jamaican that they think we are competing so well with tourism that all this hype is necessary. However, some Jamaicans are just too naive, and cannot understand when the country is under attack. That has been going on with some KZfaqrs and others for a while now. DO NOT hand people ammunition to attack you. Be sensible. People are looking for any sign of weakness or vulnerability to break us. If there was ever a time to stand up and defend the country, it would be now.

I’m American and from what I’ve seen from Jamaican KZfaqrs I’m subscribed to and friends who own property and frequent Jamaica, it’s undergoing great economic transformation and development. Although I haven’t visited since 2009, I thought these travel “warnings” were a bit fishy from the beginning. I’m glad I’ve come across your video…and I have certainly shared. It is very important that you bring to light the facts and statistics; showing the numbers of what crime has taken place and the numbers of people who died, etc. Showing were those crimes; did it affect Tourist's? No! Why 😢 Jamaica and the Bahamas being targeted? Does somebody want to crippled the Tourist Industry with inaccurate information? Giving it level 3! It's dangerous to travel to Jamaica! Thanks so much for your article. I was in Jamaica for 10 days and left on the 3 of Mar 24 and went all over and had no issues. I would wager that this “mis-information” is retribution to the Jamaican government not succumbing to the moral bankruptcy of the US. You have shed light on the hypocrisy of the “travel Advisory” , I would ask that other countries put America on a travel advisory. Can you imagine if the Chinese told their citizens to be cautious as they are viewed as enemies of the states and to not visit America or it territories? As you alluded to,the intent, is to harm the economy.

Living in Germany with a lot of friends planing to travel to JA in summer. This nonsense of travel advisory was brought to my attention from an American friend in the military who was even more angry than me about it all😂 I ran over to this channel knowing she would set things right for travellers to understand. Jamaica is a wonderful place. Me and my wife love it. We are going hopefully in may. These travel advisory are ridiculous. We visited In 2022. We were in Kingston, then travelled to Port Antonio. We were treated so well. We went to Hector River for church and eat Sunday dinner with a local family. We walked around town at night and day. We made grocery at the local market and grocery stores. We road all over with a local taxi driver. Who took us wherever we needed across a week. We walked around the marina and ate great fruits and ice cream. We stayed in the Inn Town hotel. Every one treated us beautifully all day long. We coming back soon soon

Why didn’t the US media blast Dominican Republic? They have the same travel advisory level as Bahamas. Is it because Dominican Republic is 100 controlled by the US and has 100% US investments and Bahamas and Jamaica has significant Chinese and Russian investments. I don’t know but I am asking the question. Anyone who has an answer to why the US media didn’t slam Dominican Republic like they did Bahamas and Jamaica please respond.

Jamaica even has health tourists, dedicated private hospitals in Montego, and Negril. When I traveled abroad to Canada last year, I had to purchase health insurance just in case. As a health professional. I would say it is wise to have health insurance, which is useful, especially once you travel out of your country . Jamaica land we love 🇯🇲 .

Now this is thorough research!!! I like how well the information was presented and how the information was compared and contrasted at different points. Even the other publications of specific authors were consulted to highlight existent biases, presentation of information and diction. I think that was very beneficial in providing context for the issue at hand. The information was very clear and the instances of humour really enhanced the whole video. The entire video also reinforced the importance of reading and doing independent research rather than just accepting what you may hear or see in the media. Another important thing that was reinforced in the video was consulting different, credible sources in order to obtain the highest quality of information available. I look forward to more of your content!

I just spent 7 weeks travelling around Jamaica. I found the people to be loving, caring and helpful. Being a single woman I was pleased at how gentlemanly Jamaican men are. I had a delightful sojourn with no issues whatsoever.

I live in Toronto Canada on I don't feel safe to drive through places that is less than 10 minutes away from wear I am living now in the last week alone there was about 10 people got killed around 10 to 15 minutes away from my home so they needed to look on think before making foolish decisions thanks again for your great work keep it come very good job thanks 💯
