I used it for braids and after getting my low cut fade in the spring it definitely helps my hair grow faster and keeps it healthy,it mostly comes in handy when I don't have my mango grease and coconut oil conditioner

It’s all good and well for Afro haired people, but what about us with straight hair? I’m trying to start my dreads it’s so hard I had about 8 and about 5 have come undone but 3 have stayed locked , it’s a lot of work with the crochet hook

x.mosei.x u should do a acv rinse Then, or just spray ur hair with a 2/3 mixture of apple cider vinegar and water. Later ut can rinse it. U’ll get build up anyways but if I wash it out, there’s no problem at all

I bought the 16oz I'm re-twisting, mine tonight... I got it done, professionally like 2 week's ago and it only lasted 4 day's! I paid way too much, for that to happen so quick... so I'm doing it, myself from here on out! 👊✌

@@user-qk5kj4pk2v I’m about 60% locced in .. my hair is somewhat curly so due to the texture it’s taking time. When I started mine my hair was already about 5-10 inches but I like them. Only thing I would recommend is a taper! If not your hairline gonna get pushed back. My 4head was already big so a small taper kinda helping me avoid lose hair

I found this weave glue that they carry at Sally's and some of the other little small stores it's in a red packaging and it has a black glue and a clear glue deactivator the best thing I can call it but it's designed for when you put in tracks and stuff like that in your hair so mine is hard to lock this girl this glue has rubber in it you know so like it's wet you put it on your you put it on your locks at the base your scalp and you twist it real good with that and hold it for a couple minutes and it holds it and you got to use your cap and everything and it works itself out but I've had my hair done for 2 months now and some parts are locking some art and I've been using that and the mango line

I hate Jamaican mango and lime licking gel that gel does not lock my dreads good at all but I recommend gorilla snot, it’s hella sticky and messy but it lock my hair really good

Depends on your hair type but you'll keep most your length with something like crochet hooking. My hair was around 9 inches when I started my finger twist then crochet hooked and my dreads are just past eyebrow level after two months

I used the original (orange) one 🙄 and I applied it to my whole Dreads... and yes, I got build-ups. So for everyone who's interested in getting Dreads, do it like in the video. I'm not unhappy with my dreads though. btw, I am biracial as well, but my hair is a bit curlier than his. Greetings from Germany 👋🏽

Ive been using the Jamaican mango and lime gel for a year ever since I started watching you and I ended up not actually liking it makes buildup happen so quick the gel sometimes hardens upwiththe yellow/ orange one and it just doesn’t hold up well either I’ve switched up to MyGel by Joie its really easy to use no build up or color in dreads and if you leave the cap off it doesn’t dry out and waste the whole thing like jamacain mango and lime. But a good piece of advice is just try many different products and find what works best for you bc what works for someone else doesn’t mean it will be the same for you everyone’s hair is different

i bleached my hair so my hair takes atleast a month to lock now because my hair texture straightened just slightly. i was on my second week of twists then i use this. BOOM! my hair shrunk completely and my twists were gone. never using this or gel on my hair ever again ill stick with wax and grease

Honestly this is not my favorite gel. You should try the “Supergro Gel” . Supergro Gel is made from natural ingredients and it doesn’t leave a white cast like other gels.

I want dreadlocks but I’m scared my hair will be too thick to put in a small bun for work. (It has to fit through the hole of a baseball cap, to then be put in a bun and put a hairnet on top) I’m white, but still have long, thick hair. Advice, anyone?

You'll probably just havr to ask your loctician or whoever locs it to make smaller locs for you. You'll then have a lot more than if you had thicker locs but at least they should fit through your cap's hole
