Your comment about GTO v exploit and importance of pattern recognition and tendencies really hits home. Lots of wisdom in that comment. Been trying to incorporate a card suit as randomizer that I alter every dealer change into my game to try and help me avoid giving off predictable patterns and get better balance especially against tougher players. Thanks for great vlog as always.

When you folded the pocket threes like you did it gave me a horrible reminder of the second time that I folded pocket sevens and it wound up being quads. I didn't learn my lesson from the first time so thank you for that horrible memory flashback that I have to relive over and over. Great work that you do, always entertaining.

I feel your pain... Ala Bill Clinton. I just made a similar comment about playing pocket 5's, only to fold on the flop and have it go runner runner, Quads. The final bet was 225 and called by the remaining player. The 225 bettor had flopped a set of deuces and my turn and river 5's gave him a boat. Been re-running this scenario in my head as to how I would've played it, since I was in the small blind. Would I have raised the 225 to say, 500? It surely would've run off the big blind, but have always wondered if the original bettor would have donked and come over the top for an all in? These are the kind of hands that wake you up in the middle of the night 😕

I have a white csstle story for you. About 20 plus years ago i was on my way home with my english mastiff in the back of the car. Having had castle burgers only once before and not realizing that they were so small and tasted so bad, i had to see if the dog wanted any! I ordered a bag of burgers without the onions for him and removed them from the wrappers and gave them to him only to have him throw them back at me. Even my 155 lb. puppy couldn't stomach them. like i though they were so bad! Keep up the poker love the action.

Honestly that player just played well check raising you on the turn, very hard to read that he was even on a flush draw, I would have thought trip 2s most likely with a holding like ace 2 suited.

I'm not sure if my comment last week had any effect on your decision to forgo the shakesperian talk but when you interrupted that character to say you'd say it normally I couldn't help but laugh. Also that commentary about GTO being a guideline and exploitative play being the bread winner in sessions resonated heavily with me, and it's 100% true. Loved this one!

I tried slow playing QQ once, calling a 3 bet. I'm glad I did, cuz a great guy, but an UBER OMC named Mike 4 bet ripped his stack. Everybody else folded, and I said, "Which one, Mike? Aces or Kings?" He just nodded, confirming that I was correct, but never showed to verify, even after I folded my QQ face up!

I took down a big pot with AKo the other day. Well big for Live 1/2. I have AK in early position with a bit over $200 in my stack. I raise to $10 and get a couple of calls. Then this older guy 3 bets to $120. It's a huge sizing. And against 99% of older guys I'd just fold. But this guy has been playing way too loose. So I go ahead and ship my remaining stack. He snap called and tabled AQo. Nothing hit the board and my K out kicked him.

Tip dealers? I don’t think so. 4out of 5 dealers, probably less,NEVER say thank you! They just tap the table, never look you in the eye and say thank you. Just drop the chip in their pocket, with an attitude that says I deserve this. And God forbid they tell a customer,who constantly shows he gonna fold way before the action comes to him. In short dealer DONT protect your hand and dont say thanks for a tip. Nope, I feel stupid tipping them!

There is no "correct" play. Everything happens at certain frequencies... You'd have to ask him about his reasonings behind his response. If his reasons are sound and let's say he shoves here 5% of the time then ok

It was in position, but I also think it was totally fine as played. A 4-bet IP is also fine, but if you’re not feeling comfortable there’s no need to play a bloated pot.

I melted my face off my face…the snot was dripping off my nose. I had to give up in order to keep what little is left of my brain intact lol. But the mash potatoes with Cajun gravy I could live in a vat of it…omgosh, so warm and fluffy with angels pouring gravy into your mouth with each fluff filled buttery bite and the tiniest little chunks of fake potatoes that make it seem mmmmmmmmm so REAL‼️

Got to be honest, I'm never folding pocket 3's in the SB to a small raise. Any pocket pair in a Blind. Up to $100 I'm calling. $150-$200 preflop I'm probably folding But, hey, who hasn't done this, right?!😂🤣

Ehhh… I think folding here is just fine. Your opponents aren’t very deep by the look of it and if you miss you’re now playing OOP for the rest of the hand. Can’t see that line being positive EV.

Your $460 4 bet with AA may have been too small. That’s barely a pot sized bet. More like $700 or even $1000 might have won the hand outright of git you heads up against KK

Regarding the pocket 3s hand , I have an even worse story. I open QJ suited to $11 from UTG1 , button calls and SB 3 bets to $50. His range is AA and KK . I fold . They see all 5 cards . SB makes quad Kings. I would have made straight flush. Bad beat jackpot was 60K so I missed out on 15 grand because i was too cheap to call another $39. F**********ck
