The silence from the audience when he's doing the last bit is a beautiful thing.
@FasterThanSnakes11 жыл бұрын
He had the audience right in the palm of his hand. Could've heard a pin drop before that last gag. What a guy!

One of the bands James plays in is actually called Pindrop.

That last joke has some of the best execution I've heard from any stand-up
@trumanhopper24934 жыл бұрын
Except that execution wasnt nearly as good as other times he has told that joke. In this show, he sounded like he was having a hard time saying it properly
@EnglishMike2 жыл бұрын
@@trumanhopper2493 Yeah, he fluffed the punchline a little, but he still got it to land.
@NeyoBearGaming3 жыл бұрын
That bit at the end is a very brave joke. Having to sit with that silence for so long and hope that the reveal gets a big enough laugh to make it worth it
@OsofoGriot11 жыл бұрын
I LOVE the silence before the punchlines! Such control over a crowd!
@matthewjackman84106 жыл бұрын
It's odd, this is one of my favorite short standup routines. However it doesn't make me laugh out loud as much as just grinning at the amazing technical aspects of Acaster's delivery.
@ScottyPee2111 жыл бұрын
I went to see Milton Jones a couple of years ago and this guy was his support act...thought he was brilliant. He didnt manage to get many jokes in though. Spent most of his stage time having a discussion with the audience members about various types of cheese. Very much enjoyed the evening!
@ahobbit12733 жыл бұрын
Wow, his delivery is so much more subdued here than in the Netflix special, but it’s still hilarious.

‘nough respec’ to the K-town massive. Rapidly became one of my favourite comedians. Love how he used to make Sean Lock laugh. This punchline was class.

Can somebody please explain the crop circles joke 😔
@Anonymous-vy1py2 жыл бұрын
The couple made up a story about the loch ness monster crossing the road. UFO crop circles are a similar myth/hoax. So the couple would be the kind of people you'd expect to be stamping on crops to create fake UFO crop circles as another hoax
@Anonymous-vy1py2 жыл бұрын
The actual humour of the joke lies in the prolonged confusion which he resolves very neatly and quickly at the end. When he starts stamping it is very unlikely for an audience member to have thought of crop circles since there is not enough information to deduce this with much certainty; instead they are more likely to feel confused and wanting an explanation. He drags this feeling out for a minute or so to strengthen it. Then he mentions the crop circles and very suddenly the audience realise how it makes sense. The absurdity of the stamping without explanation, in contrast with the logic of it with explanation, creates the humour.
