I see the copyright issue is still up for debate, judging by the fact that the selfie in question is blurred in the video. 😄

Court should just decide it's public domain now.

@@boo_ no. Who signs the release when a person takes photos of animals???? No one. Therefore the monkey can not own rights to a photo and the owner of the camera who set up the situation to get the photo should have the rights.

@@private15 Do not really care either way. I would just find it amusing if the picture was made public domain after all the drama and pissing about in courts.

@@boo_ In case anyone's wondering, it isn't - it's the photographers. From Wikipedia, the most reliable source of info: "In April 2018, the appeals court affirmed that animals cannot legally hold copyrights and expressed concern that PETA's motivations had been to promote their own interests rather than to protect the legal rights of animals."
