What better time to try and setup the complete James Baroud experience.
All in all great products. Only the ladder in combination with the awning is terrible design. You really need the exact placing within a cm to have it still work. Test before final mounting your tent!

Really nice setup man! Couple questions: How did you install the awning to your crossbars? Did you placed the rooftop tent a bit more to the left side of your car (not centered) to make room for the awning? Does it affect the handling of the car while driving?

The thule bars have a small rail where a bolt fits I perfectly. The I use L brackets to connect the awning, tent stayed perfectly in the middle. Didn't notice any handling or sound difference

Do you have the 150cm Thule crossbar/rack? Happy about the length?

Are your rooftop cross bars Thule? Do they handle the weight ok? They have T-Track bolt on top of the cross bars?

Thule works great. They have a rail on the bottom which I used to mount an L bracket

Is it dark in the tent when all windows are closed?

It's very thick material, it does better than normal tents. But in full daylight it won't be dark
