Hi David. We have a James Bond documentary on TV this morning in the UK. Everything or nothing: the untold story of 007. Not sure if you have seen it or can get it in the US? Radio Times Review by Jeremy Aspinall, James Bond fans may think they know everything about Britain's greatest secret agent, but this trawl through the history of the film franchise (released to coincide with the 50th anniversary of Dr No) still feels like a refreshing affair. Not the usual wallow in girls, gadgets and villains, this instead chronicles the cultural icon through the prism of the lives of creator Ian Fleming and original producers Albert "Cubby" Broccoli and Harry Saltzman. Director Stevan Riley (Fire in Babylon) skilfully illustrates the trio's relationship with a neat use of previously unseen archive, home movies and film clips, backed up by the best soundtrack you could ever wish to have - the franchise's themes and title songs. All the 007s are interviewed (except for Connery, sadly), with the contributions from Lazenby, Moore and Brosnan particularly humorous and insightful. Casual observers will be fascinated, and even Bond obsessives may find something new to chew on (such as the inspiration for the heroine in On Her Majesty's Secret Service and Connery's rapprochement with Broccoli on his death bed) during this revealing account of the genesis of cinema's most enduring series. I recommend it. Its on now in the UK and is a great insight in to the real Bond.

The last brief case (attache case) is definitely the best, plus the AR 7.

Great video. The attache case was always the top prop on my list. Followed by the Rolex Sub. I have a Papworth attache with British green leather lining which I purchased from Fortnum & Mason about 20 years ago. I believe Papworth is now consolidated with Swaine Adeney. On their website they are selling a reproduction of Bond's attache, without the accoutrements. However they do special modifications if you want extra features.

Hello David, congratulations on your channel. You really do a great job. I very rarely comment, but I had to make one this time. Your briefcase (Samsonite Xylem) is the correct model used in "die another day". The feet are correct. This is the Samsonite Xylem 800 series Scion model. The interior is black as we can clearly see when James has the briefcase filled with diamonds on his knees in the helicopter. The feet are the same as your briefcase as you can see very well when James close it. And indeed it is the same briefcase that Vesper uses to transport the money in the Venice scene. Just wach the video, it's easy.

Great interview, really enjoyed it. Perhaps the original knife had two holes so it could be inserted either way, i.e., no "right side up."

Great video Dave! One problem I've encountered with older, traditional brief cases is that they will not fit flat under a modern, very narrow, airline seat. Had to put it at an angle.

I always assumed the ammo rods held the 7.65 ammo for his PPK, but makes sense it would be .22 for the AR-7!

Great video, and there are a couple more that I like. Roger Moore has a few nice attaché cases, including one from Louis Vuitton in Octopussy and I think he had a couple from Gucci and Ferragamo. Then there’s Daniel Craig’s Globe Trotter valise in SPECTRE, I like that one too.
