Excellent BBC radio adaption which is faithful to the novel;I have added a john barry soundtrack from "You only live twice" & "OHMSS" to add to the atmosphere.

As a child of the radio 70 years ago I have only today realised I am able to relive, and renew my relationship the BBC Radio. What wonderful and secure times those were. Mum started me off at 4 years old sitting in the worn out, part collapsed armchair, and I bless her memory and my childhood with the BBC.

So nice read people who had similar childhood to me,kids today got no idea or do they want to know how life was....They have no tv or Xbox we be reported to social service.but we had a mum who sit down with us and talk listen,not all kids had that but many did. You posted two years ago so I hope all is well or as much as it can be with covoid. Keep well,cheers Carole

Very true to the novel, which is among the best in the series.

"Tiger" is played by Clive Merrison, of Sherlock Holmes fame. Unmistakable voice. Nicely done.

Thank you great upload.I think this is more true to book...The films are great but Ian Fleming although happy with Dr No he had reservations about other films I don't think he be so happy about the JB today.. I would say your JB not unlike I.F.The film versions Timathy Dalton was nearest to I.F so I was told by someone who knew him also told me listen to to these plays I.F was impressed.You can't get high endorsement

Well done !! You really did a wonderful job on this radioplay, the tracks from Barry that you choosed fit almost perfectly with the dialogues of the novel, congratulations !! I was so delighted to hear your work that i tried to organize it like a EON film, with a proper introduction, an ending, and some small adds in the score, you can check it on my page ;) Congratulations again !

This has to be edited, there’s another version on yt which is two hours twenty.
@mi1esfr34k4 жыл бұрын
This version does appear to be edited down from its original approx 1:30 length, but it seems to me like it might be an official BBC abridgement. About the other version - YOLT actually ends about 1:27 on that one. The remaining time is filled with a repeat of material from the same program that picks up about 9 min in when Bond meets Dikko Henderson.
