His comments on Elvis interesting. James spoke similar words in another interview and in couple of his biographies. James friend Fred Daviss said he went with James to Graceland when Elvis died and saw James standing next to Elvis coffin grieving profoundly. Reminds me Muhammad Ali's friend said Muhammad also broke down grieved intensely when he heard the news about Elvis passing. EP & Ali knew each other also. We never really know the connections made & impact these other Legends have on each other. Excellent all around interview of one of the great icons of 20th century.

I've ignored this interview for years, but I'm damn sure glad I watched it. I love how he says he could be a preacher. A year later he would have a major resurgence playing a preacher in the hit film "The Blues Brothers. Great interviewer, and great interview. He looked good here: he shaved that silly moustache off, lost weight and had a new song "It's Too Funky in Here".

Wow .. That was a good interview! Interesting to hear James speak of Elvis Presley as he did. Its a shame that a rumour persists till this day. "The Name o the Game is Unity" ...James Brown

Money is not the root of all evil.... "The LOVE OF money is the root of all evil". A lot of people misquote that verse, although their sentiment is honest and they mean no harm. James Brown was awesome ! There will never be another entertainer like him ! 🎶🌹🎵

Such a beautiful heart. The golden days were when James was part of the greatest Live music show in Kinsasha at time of Muhammad Ali and Joe Fraziers Rumble in the Jungle.

His reflection in the mirror looks like a wax figure of himself and also looks like it's going to suddenly spin it's head and stare right into the camera with a goolish smile all on it's own...
