MissMandy Of Naath for real.... I have cheated on mine three times and it has always backfires. Not only do they mess up my hair but pay double to get it fix. Third time was a charm and learned my lesson. Went somewhere else to cut my hair who was recommended just because my guy left on vacation and my hair got botched 😢😢. Two weeks before a special event. Now my guy is trying to do the best he can to fix it. NEVER WOULD I LET ANYONE TOUCH MY HAIR AGAIN BUT HIM.

I didn't necessarily cheat on my stylist but I cheated on the salon. My stylist stopped doing hair to be a stay-at-home mom and recommended another stylist. I took the word of a co-worker and went to her stylist. The first time was ok, but the 2nd time fucked my hair. It was a complete disaster and I called my former salon, the next day, to get a consult to fix my hair. The owner looked at my hair and was like "oh... wow...". I set an appointment for the next day and got it fixed. I will never leave/cheat on my current stylist for as long as she's doing hair.

I’ve been with my stylist who’s also a family friend since freshman year of high school and I’m a sophomore in college now. I’m always happy with her work and glad to be in her chair because she’s also chill.

Brad mondo is absolutely quaking at the fact that James didn’t know you had to replace red tones in the hair after bleaching it white and trying to dye it back to black😅 Edit: Y’all it was a joke I mean come one let’s all try to get along here all love to all three people( Brad James and Guy ) please. I love how Guy always uses a scale to mix color. I see so many “experienced” stylists just eyeball it and then wonder why they don’t get consistent results.

WOOOWWWWW there are stylists that don’t use scales when mixing colour with the developer?? That’s shocking honestly and I used to be a hairdresser, I’ve never seen another stylist not using scales when mixing colour and it never even occurred to me that anyone would, could or should tbh! I remember when I studied we were taught to always mix the colour & developer together on the scale either using a 1:1 ratio or a 1:2 ratio and try get it exact or as close to exact as possible, you should never just eyeball it and assume it’s ok because it’s crucial that you follow the correct ratio for your hair to be coloured properly...

Florence Smit Yup! I go to a high end salon and I see the stylists eyeball it all the time. Even if you watch KZfaqrs like Brad Mondo, they all eyeball it, too, and I think a lot of up and comers try to emulate them.

we constantly used a scale in cosmetology school, it wasn’t until I got into salons that they eyed it or used a measuring cup, which to me is still not as accurate as a scale!

Amy I’m sure. I’m 34. I’ve been getting my hair highlighted at high end salons since I was 15 and I’ve never once seen a stylist use a scale. It wasn’t until I was in my 20’s and my sister first went to cosmetology school that I even learned a scale was the proper way to do it. Most don’t even use a measuring cup.

In some cases you can totally eye ball mixing color. Most bowls hold 4 oz. most color is a 1:1 or 1:2. Most tubes of color hold 2 oz. now when you’re doing a mixture of colors... a flat base and adding a touch of something else. I recommend a scale just to make sure you can mix up the same color and get the same hue for next time. Becky getting her roots touched up because her grays are out doesn’t need a scale 😂

People that routinely get their hair done, know this and still style it for weeks before getting a trim. yes a trim. because they never really stop doing things to their hairs. you can have damaged hair and still style it, while it lasts..

Do you guys even know how fast the hair grows? I mean in about 3-4 months the damaged hair you guys mean needs to be "trimmed/shaved" of is going to be grown out anyways. Why do you have to leave nasty comments? Nothing ells to do?

@@maudsandaker2367 damaged hair takes so much time to grow and is prone to breakage, often frizzy and just str8 up annoying. Waiting for 3-4 months wont fix the problem you really need to fix it from the roots which in this case shaving them off. Women dont do it bc duh they are women but he's a man after all so it wont hurt his pride to be bald like what's so wrong with being bald

Samanthajm I had the same problem James had 4 yrs ago after bleaching my hair every 2 wks (every time I got 1 inch of roots grown out) ish for 8 yrs... I just shaved it all of in the end cause it was that bad.... it taught me such a valuable lesson n I’ve not dyed it since xxx

Samanthajm if you use good products you can have platinum hair and not have to shave it off. It’s going to look gummy that’s the nature of the beast if you want to be platinum. You just have to use really good products and you’ll be fine . 🙌🏻

In my opinion he should leave it to ppl who know more of what they are doing until he can do it without hurting people. There's a reason why u dont start out learning on actual people and they teach you health and saftey before anything else 🤷 Edit: i didnt say he shouldn't be coloring hair at all im just saying he's his barber not his colorist he specializes in cutting hair. James hair is a big deal to him since it was so important his hair was fixed he didn't wait on Guy because he had to make a video and he wanted his hair to look good. If your job is to take care of someones hair you wouldnt or shouldnt want to damage your clients hair especially if they have a large following. He shouldnt try coloring or bleaching his hair until he can do it well or at least not damage it.

At our hair salon we offer eyeglass "sleeves" for clients who really cant see without their glasses. They look super dorky but work well!

@LucifersQuinoaVEVO Now I've been to Hair 2 Go Natural downtown on Main Street near the police station. They did a great flat iron. However I went in for a perm rod set. So I wasn't unhappy, but I left without the style I wanted. So there's that.

You guys are so positive! I always hate going to a new stylist, because you don’t know what type of energy they will bring. My hair in the back is so thick and corse, it tends to to break off, especially when I was transitioning from a relaxer. Well the shampoo guy treated me like I had a plague and even had others come look at the breakage. Needless to say, I never went back!

@@battibii I don't doubt he's busy. Why don't we know about this/how are you sure about this? How would someone make an appointment with him, assuming they could afford it? I didn't doubt that aspect of it either, just that people often note that he doesn't appear to be available to take clients unless they're 'known'/ industry people or have managers or some way of contacting him (ie, none of us can do it, even if we have the money).
