It's utterly wonderful that the Manics want to still use Richey's lyrics and ideas even though he is no longer around. What a lovely way of paying tribute and remembering their friend and showing appreciation for his work. I have the utmost respect for this band x x

I'm surprised he didn't punch the BBC sixth-form interviewers in the face. How naive to form their opinions in such a childish way. Great to hear James' words though.

Charlie stayt was being clueless here but i'd say he's got one of the best jobs in the UK, sitting next to sushanna reid.

Is that Susanna Reid?

James soooo wanted to punch that prat after he said that. If he had, I'm sure most of Wales, and all the Manic's fans in the world, would have been behind it.

5:30 News Guy (on meeting Fidel Castro) : "it's a wonderful clim to fame" not quite as wonderful as being the lead singer of one of most influential british bands of the last 20 years though!! cock!

the way he dismisses cuba "as a bit of manics folly" is a bit "bullshit" played a big part in the manics thinking, in my opinion they went there for the music and the admiration of cuba.

seen quite a few of these breakfast interviews with rock / pop stars and they're all so bad. they generally just talk about a couple of the bands big hits from when they were at their peak popularity on the charts and maybe some stories they were involved in 20-30 years ago - then they end with a 5 second clip of the new stuff - they make it so obvious that they know know fuck all about the music and obviously do fuck all research beforehand.
