Thank you Stephen A. Those are my same sentiments. Clippers already have a solid point guard in Westbrook and I don’t see a scenario where Harden is starting alongside Kawhi, PG, and Westbrook. In order for this trade to potentially work for the Clippers, Harden need to play a similar role to what CP3 is playing with the Warriors. And that is, to be the team’s Sixth man and lead the 2nd unit as the point guard. He’s going to have to revert back to his Sixth man playing days with OKC and provide that instant offense off the bench. That’s the only way I see this trade working for the Clippers moving forward.

This Kawhi/PG era for the clippers is going to come to an end after this season it looks like. This roster makes zero sense. 4 ball handlers, a lot of iso ball, and no rim protection.

I can't wait to see this play out. Clippers will be in a complete rebuild two years from now.

Id say Harden comes off the bench or plays spot up with the starters or cooks as primary ball handler with the second unit, he takes Eric Gordons role last season and they can drop the minutes of both PG and Klaw

One of the other will run the first team and someone will have to run the second team. I believe they will try both with the first team and see how that works. What we do know is James doesn’t have another force a trade request. It’s either he accepts the role he’s given or be out of the league in 2024.

I’m so sick of main stream media talking negative about players they dislike before they even arrive with their new teams. Yes everyone can have an opinion but some of this is just nonsense I wish the clippers a healthy great season.

I think the Clippers are going to use Harden and Westbrook for the regular season and put in PG and Leonard as they need to. Pay the fines as they continue to utilize the load management and flip it in the playoffs so that PG and Leonard are healthy and rested and use Harden and Westbrook here and there in the playoffs and hope for the best. That’s the only thing that makes sense.

Truth is they paint harden in this negative picture. He didn’t choose to leave OKC. He played for the rockets for like 8 or so seasons. And after that long when he wanted to leave they tried to keep him hostage. Brooklyn nets we all saw what happened there. And in the 76ers he took a paycut to help his team and was promised by Daryl morey who essentially snaked him. And he was still willing to suit up. Let’s not forget he just averaged an efficient 21, and 10.

with proper spacing Harden and Westbrook already have shown they can function together. However, I think the best solution is staggering them and having one of them run the second unit. Initially I thought of Westbrook but I now think Harden would be more dangerous with the second unit.

That's why the clippers will succeed because it's always negative talk.. instead of people waiting to see what happens they jump out the window 😂 the starting 4 is all from California so in my eyes that means something and if they would happen to win a championship that would be legendary..

When everyone thinks they're going to screw up so badly, it could be that they do everything right and work well together. I think Westbrook has already done a lot less with the ball. You already get the feeling that he can play other positions, so I could imagine a lineup with Westbrook and Harden. The 2nd unit then has more defense with Mann again. You have to see which variant works better. One important thing is that Harden can shoot more 3s. One weakness of the Clippers. We lose Roco , not so good but Mann will return and we have PJ Tucker now.

Clipper Nation's only glimmer of hope: *13-3* when KD, Kyrie, and Harden played together. Current Paul George is better than Kyrie. He's taller and plays defense. KD from 3 years ago is probably better than current Kawhi but it's not by much. While Harden has shown flashes of brilliance last year in Philly dropping 40s a couple times in Boston. People doubted the KD-Harden-Kyrie trio as well. But when we actually saw them together for those 16 games, we saw a championship calibur team only derailed because of Kyrie's injury and refusal to get vaccinated. And Ty Lue is a much better coach than Steve Nash. Here's the thing: Clippers can not procrastinate. They need to get off to a fast start. Don't lose games to Utah anymore. If they do this and prove they're a championship contender right away, they can fill their weaknesses through the buyout market. They can get a close to all-star caliber player for dirt cheap if these players can sense they can win a chip with our guys. So work your asses off, Clippers. Stop sitting around in street clothes. Play every game like you're playing the Lakers where it becomes life or death. Clippers now have 4 all-stars. They have the potential but we need to see if any of these guys can stay healthy. Potential can always get derailed by injuries. Kawhi hasn't completed a final Clippers game since 2020. Stop whining about schedules and just play basketball.
