Led by James Harden’s Playoff career-high tying 45 points, the Philadelphia 76ers defeated the Boston Celtics in Game 1, 119-115. Tyrese Maxey added 26 points for the 76ers in the victory, while Jayson Tatum tallied 39 points, 11 rebounds, and 5 assists for the Celtics. The 76ers lead this best-of-seven series, 1-0, with Game 2 taking place on Wednesday, May 3 (8:00 p.m. ET, TNT).

Don't buy the media narrative. On the whole, he has historically been very good in the playoffs. One game at Home against San Antonio was worse than awful and a few other games were less than brilliant, but he beat GSWs more times in the playoffs than any other player, and he didn't have a lot of help.

I can't remember another player in nba history who has been able to completely change play styles to fit each team he played on. From 6th man to one of the best scorers ever and then to one of the best playmakers ever. Not only change but to be able to go back and forth is so impressive.

Oh please, spare me the excuses! It's not Embiid's fault that your team couldn't hold on to a lead in the final minutes. Maybe if your players spent more time practicing and less time whining, they could actually pull off a win. And as for the Hawks series, well, that just proves that your team is weak and can't handle the pressure. What I like about Harden's offense right now is he is already taking mid range shots. In crucial moments, it is really essential to be a 3 level scorer wherein you can score anywhere from the court.

I knew someone was gonna have to step up and take charge and drop 40-50 on their rival team or go home early. 35 PPG AVG is a must in this playoffs. Top teams getting bumped off by the lower teams. I only watch the Lakers, but no one can miss any game this year it's crazy entertaining.

In retrospect, what does this mean? I can’t help but look at the 3 wins the 76ers had, credit two of them to James Harden, and then ask, “Where was Embiid?” I know Harden had a bad game 6 and 7, but if Embiid stepped up twice like Harden did twice, the 76ers win that series. Now Harden feels unappreciated and asked for a trade. It’s just a shame 😔.
