Kirk Hammet once met Michael Jackson during the filming of The Unforgiven video back in early 90s. He wanted an autograph of MJ and later MJ actually even sent one to Kirk's home. Kirk was very suprised that MJ didnt forget about it .. it's even here on youtube somewhere ... and Metallica also played Beat It and several ocassians ...

Yeah it was Michael Jackson and Macaulay Culkin riding by in a golf cart while they were filming the video for the song "Black & White" while MetallicA were filming "The Unforgiven" video in Black & White 😄

No he shouldn't. Metallica is his bread and butter, taking him away from that is a disaster. Remember Robert Plant's solo career? Or David Lee Roth, Freddie Mercury, Billy Corgan, MICK JAGGER, ROGER DALTREY, Scott Stapp, Paul Stanley, Gene Simmons, all of them came from big bands and totally flopped when they went solo. James will suffer the same fate.

That riff sounds like a little part of Lonely Is The Night and it sounds kind of like the Black or White riff, but it also shows up in a thousand other songs. Probably why they were having so much trouble trying to figure it out. 😊

Wow! Just visited Halifax last september and I loved the waterfront. You guys in NS drive like there's not speed limit haha. Loved the City and Peggys Cove. Cape Breton is in our bucket's list for next year along with PEI. You're lucky not to have a Dictator as a Prime Minister who wants to turn his people against the rest of Canada. Hoping the snow will melt soon. And yes, Quebec is my favorite City too. Cheers
