This is awesome James and Morgan. A 10 year build is a long time, a lot of life can happen during that span it’s cool to see you keep at it. Not long now i can’t wait to see it ripping.

2 years ago when James's Frontier was 80% complete I used to joke that it will be running by 2026.. I retract my previous statement and now say it will be ready by 2030 lol.

Man James and Morgan are making me jealous. I'm working on building my truck but nothing like the Frontier. If i had a $1,000,000 check right now i would probably blow it on having Morgan build my truck into a pre-runner instead of investing the money.

Great work guys; thanks for posting the video as well, have been looking forward to it. I really felt the message to stay motivated, keep working/making money, and you're a good example James of someone working hard, family, jobS, staying stoked and doing what ya can little by little with a big project truck. Good inspiration for all of us trying to live that work hard play hard lifestyle.

Gorgeous build guys! Morgan dude you got huge! Lol Totally understand why eveyone runs LS and for good reason but still wonder why from a packaging standpoint why more guys are not running straight 6 motors, Barra, 2jz, Atlas, OM606 ect. Similar power and torque, plenty reliable, the room for your feet when mid mounted would be a no brainer for me.

Those lines coming down the center look so damn good. I would cover it in plexi glass and then run LED tape to show case the amazing work. Morgan thinks about everything when building and then thinks of all the fail points and then builds. I wish I had that sort of brain power.

Hey James the truck is looking amazing. I spoke to you a couple years back out at the clean dezert barstow event. My truck, with the same front end as yours, is "complete" and i will say upgrading to the TT pump is the right move. I have 37's with the same TC pump and i am unhappy with the steering feedback and the amount of strength it takes to steer the wheel. I will be upgrading to the TT pump as well.

I enjoy your outlook and sharing. You build the baddest rigs I've ever seen and you teach how to get that design and look. I want to build some cool shit like this for my truck but I lack the artistic ability to look at it and think boom; this here, that there. watching your videos kinda teaches me to think outside the box in the direction i have always wanted to learn but how do you evan began to learn how to be cool? 😂 Awesome work

This is not a race car. It’s build to do race pace activities. It’s not build for the consistent abuse & endurance of a race car. The chassis would need a lot more reinforcement.

It sucks when you have a long, drawn-out build and the tires keep getting bigger. Im 6 years in and 37s were the go to back then. Now everyones on 40s. Starting to second guess the 37s too now.
@saltymethods26373 ай бұрын
James, I'm sure you realize that a fully built TT are extremely expensive to maintain. They need servicing a lot more often than a regular truck. You might get 2-3 trips of moderate to heavy off road use before you need to start ripping it apart and replacing parts. A race prep service can run between $20-$40K. Look up how much replacing 40" tires. You better get 5 more jobs.
@kelevra5583 ай бұрын
This might be a stupid thing to say but ive never had hands on this truck. Why not run lines through the tubing? Yes im aware friction is a real issue. However, we do have the technology to isolate the lines and basically alleviate that issue. Personally, i own a 94 sr5 with a stupid high strung small block ford with a t400. I ran every single line that had to travel front to back or back to front through the lowest tubes in the sub structure. It took some time to get the bulkheads squared away and a lot of time to package and design everything for removal and replacement in mind. To be clear, i LOVE the way you did those hard lines. I absolutely love it. Im just curious why you went that route instead of what i just described.
@Fervor2Germinate3 ай бұрын
Could one reason be that you wouldn't see a leak if the lines are that hidden?
@bassist216853 ай бұрын
That’s the only part that I hate. They keep talking about it being a family build yet run gasoline lines though the cab? Doubt that would pass race inspection. There’s a firewall and lines are under the cab for a reason. As you stated, running the lines though tubing under the truck would have been wayyy better, safer, responsible… family oriented in mind. I’d rather chase a leak under a truck rather than in the truck, in my kids shoes. Lol
@kelevra5583 ай бұрын
@@Fervor2Germinate so the way i did mine, no. Thats not at all saying ur wrong tho. I drilled holes and braised in some dirt bike fuel petcocks....haha...petcocks...imma child. So i just crack them open when im prepping my truck to check for leaks. If something is leaking, itll drain out of one of the 4 i have. Its been a really good system so far but my truck has only been done for 2 years so, yeah. I will say it was actually pretty simple to do. You just have to think it out and keep service in mind. As well as a system to detect leaks.
@kelevra5583 ай бұрын
@@bassist21685 My thoughts exactly. Im sure Morgan will build a firewall to isolate any leakage. It would be super easy to do ya know? Just cover them up and drill a hole in the lowest point of wherever the liquid would collect. You could honestly direct leakage anywhere you want. I think with the quality of fittings used its a non issue but, like i said brother i you straight up took words out of my head with everything you wrote. Great minds right?
@Fervor2Germinate3 ай бұрын
@@kelevra558 Oh yea that's a really good idea with the petcocks, I see what you're saying. Hey be a child lol np, I think adults lose that sense of play and goofiness, especially men, let that freak flag fly! Or let that petcock crow!

The problem with powder coating is that you can't touch it up when it gets damaged. Personally I prefer epoxy paint. It's relatively easy to touch up and it offers corrosion protection comparable to powder coat.
@MorganClarkeDesign13 ай бұрын
You can touch up powder all day long.
@jamescrud3 ай бұрын
@@MorganClarkeDesign1 With paint yes but not with powder coat. It might be okay for your climate but where I am with snow and salt on the roads 6 months of the year it just doesn't hold up.

Will this truck be on the race track of just for show?
@bassist216853 ай бұрын
Honestly I’d be surprised if it would pass tech with the fuel lines going into the cab. Kinda negates the point of a “firewall” when running the fuel lines in your lap
