I hate when band members go off and record solo albums that sound exactly like the band they are already in. That is why I don't hate this. This, right here, is awesome!!
@necroplastful8 жыл бұрын
+peaveyandsmolski The only thing ressembling DT here is just Labries voice. Otherwise its brand new. I like Labries solo work. I think it sounds extremely interesting and puts him more in the spotlights than in DT.

What! What What! I think you just said that to inflame this awsome different song when I think he went off track from his usual style with such obviousness. If they sound like DT wow you need to put your head in the spin cycle set on high and longest duration! Really! This song kicks 90% of DTs songs maybe! The chorus is worth the admission! If I could do something like this I'd be unbearable to live around cuase I'd call myself God or something like that! Pun intended!

Yes it's me and I'm doing lower tuned growls on this track. Most of the other scream on the album though is more like on Static Impulse.

Powerful powerful chorus. I remember listening to One More Time when it came out before Static Impulse did, time flies and the new one is about to come out and my feeling remains the same: This album is going to be fuckin' killer!

I love the fact that James is actively doing his solo career, and he has not only great musicians in this project, but also JENS BOGREN. Can't wait for this album.

addicted to that moody, dreamy feeling Labrie creates with his voice regardless it's with DT or other projects..truly an amazing song!

great album! wish DT would explore some heavier metal like this :)
@infonator16 жыл бұрын
I agree but they want to please the women with their ballads. That's why this group kicks it in the sweet spot!
@spartansquid59314 жыл бұрын
But, DT is heavier than this? I think you’re confusing downtuning for heaviness.

A band is not meant to have the best musicians to be great, but some chemistry in writing and playing together.

Lyrics: One voice she hears Taking control, leaving its mark... Agony Can't make her see it my way Restrict, you binge Lunatic fringe struggles within... Agony Losing her identity Helpless feeling, It's eating you Taking it's toll You cannot give up again Crack the door and he'll let himself right in Rotten to the core, that grin Lose a little more, patience wearing thin When nothing else matters Tattered, shattered Abused, you are battered Scattered, shattered Know it's all messed up You cannot give up Wasting away, skin bruised and gray Falling apart... Agony Shut down more than yesterday The perfect you Now you're see through It's killing you... Agony No grasp of reality Helpless feeling, It's eating you Taking it's toll You cannot give up again Crack the door and he'll let himself right in Rotten to the core, that grin Lose a little more, patience wearing thin When nothing else matters Tattered, shattered Abused, you are battered Scattered, shattered Know it's all messed up You cannot give up You cannot give up again Crack the door and he'll let himself right in Rotten to the core, that grin Lose a little more, patience wearing thin When nothing else matters Tattered, shattered Abused, you are battered Scattered, shattered Know it's all messed up You cannot give up

Big Up per te! :D

Awesome ! This music picks right up where static impulse ends , I really hope this record allows the band to tour and play a vast amount of static impulse material since they didnt get to tour that record . Of course I want to hear the new stuff and some elements of persuasion as well .Release the beast and get it on the road ! ! !

Why can't Dream Theater be this awesome now? Seriously, they haven't put out a good album since Black Clouds. Some of the Songs are good, but nothing I would say you can listen to from beginning to end.
@volkerball857 жыл бұрын
Nah. I'd rate their three post BC&SL albums above BC&SL itself. It was a fantastic album, to be sure, but it's a tad overrated by this point, imo. Their self-titled album in particular is probably my favorite DT work since Six Degrees.
@I_am_Jordan_K6 жыл бұрын
I thought BC&SL was pretty bad. Mostly because the vocals were awful and didn't blend at all with the music. ADTOE saw the band going back to more of modernized I&W-style sound, and it worked a lot better - it's probably my favorite album of theirs, and Breaking All Illusions is easily my favorite DT track. Self-titled was a solid, but safe, effort. Astonishing was awful.
@ML-xp1kp6 жыл бұрын
I don't quite dig BC&SL, but oh my effing god Count of Tuscany was awesome.
