I might, if I was spending near-half a million on a car, get one of these over an Aventador honestly. I bet this is just great fun to cruise around in. And something tells me this would be properly more exciting to drive than the Lamborghini. Imagine sitting that high up, on those tires, doing say 80mph.

I work as a classic car mechanic and we have a few of them come in for check before they go out to a country for a rally and they are awesome can beat them

@@BaldMancTwat No you can't. Maybe the acceleration. But you still can't feel the high speeds or the agility…

@@BaldMancTwat Acceleration (particularly 0-60 is a meaningless number unless you have a quarter mile driveway that connects to a highway). 60-80/100 is more important and even that is of marginal importance. Top speed and handling is the most important thing if you care about performance.

They are very cold though. And difficult to drive, you need to match the revs to the gears and such. Totally rewarding though!

Cool car. I prefer the Alfa Romeo 8300 Monza replica by an Argentinian company, but vintage Bentley's are very cool looking as well.

I saw "Bentley" and "Behind the Scenes" and got excited because I thought it was the behind the scenes of the Bentley being on the rally course that aired a few days ago... I was way wrong

So you know where to get a supply of second hand Bentley motors from that era? My point being that any contemporary reproduction build up of such a car, even one that utilizes some original components, in order to keep the costs sub-stratospheric, would require using a modern motor, drivetrain, brakes, etc when applicable. Sure if you looked around you could probably find a serviceable motor block, but restoring such could add tremendously to the costs. Best left to the deep pocket collector.

It's still not the BBC editor's fault, it's the youtube soundmixer that levels all the soundchannels flat, so the engine noise gets more audible, because it's louder than voices in reality. If you download or watch TG on TV, it's edited just right, I promise, because I do just that, so I know.

A new season started less than a week ago (Season 19)... And those three are what makes the show. I'll spare correcting you on your spelling/grammar.

That's not quite right. James wasn;t wearing a lapel microphone when this was filmed, just like he would (they do) in the studio recordings. So every time he isn't facing the camera is when the camera's directional mic doesn't catch his voice, much like if you spoke to everyone while looking at a wall opposite them :)

!00% on the same page. after the episode were they smashed up the bronco. and the caravan boat. that was a model older than the one in the challenge. UK the best!

If people still don't know who Oliver is just watch the lorry driving episode. They have to get the trucks up a hill from a standing start with something near their heart behind the trailer. If they fail it gets ran over by the truck and trailer.
