The Grand Tour

2 жыл бұрын

Who wouldn't want James May to be their teacher? Apparently, Clarkson and Hammond aren't the biggest fans of May's lessons. Whether it's about cars, current events or fine arts: there's nothing James May won't have a fun fact about.

Join Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May as they travel across the globe on their Grand Tour. A show about adventure, excitement and friendship… as long as you accept that the people you call friends are also the ones you find extremely annoying. Sometimes it’s even a show about cars, reviewing Italian classics, hot hatchbacks, muscle cars, pick-up trucks, luxury vehicles and more. There’s something for everyone (If you like middle-aged men doing things with cars, then this is the show for you!)
Prime Video has thousands of popular movies and TV shows, including award-winning Amazon Originals, plus live sport and more. All included with Prime!

I love the Nurburgring, but it should stay a race track and for blokes (as the Europeans call others) to go a lap in their custom second-gen Acura Integra, because getting an overseas alternative of the Honda Civic is cool for some.

He doesn’t actually - with all due respect for the institution that is Mr. May -. The Nurburgring (Nordschleife) requires suspension travel and well tuned dampers more than any other track because of elevation changes, rough surface patches at places like the Karussell and changing surface conditions (shadowy parts, weather). More than any other track, the Nordschleife ist about compromises between compliance and immediacy, low and fast speeds, tun in and road holding, compression and depression. Balance is therefore key. You should visit it, it’s like driving on a country road in many ways. And very scary if you push. (not talking about the GP course).

Shalom 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's./Inspiration+We have heard the phrase, "You are what you eat." Consider what you consume and put into your body on a regular basis: do you think that you treat your body as a temple of the Holy Ghost? I know that I have been guilty of gluttony and have had issues with alcohol that I am not proud of. This life is a gift and we only have one shot. What a shame it is to waste our time and health on weaknesses of the flesh. Sadly, in these modern times, gluttony is literally a deadly sin./Prayer+My body is a temple of the Holy Ghost. Give me this day my daily bread, and the strength and wisdom to accept only my daily amount. Lord, I pray that You help me to approach all things with moderation, but know that I am a sinner. I want what I cannot have, and that which I do have, I want more of. Hold my hand, loving God, and show me the path towards a healthy and loving relationship with You. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.

-The charismatic orangutan with weird ideas that never end well. His antics move the team forward. -The "angry short bloke" (his quote) with ingenuity, manias of grandeur and an innate proficiency for crashing. He's that guy that simply is in for the ride. -And finally the very intelligent and cultured nerd that bores everyone with his insane "attention to details" and not particularly high velocity in doing things. He's the guy "stuck" with the other two, but he keeps sticking to them because deep beneath he enjoys their company. I don't know why, but the more I watch them the more I find similarities with the Ed, Edd and Eddy show lmao...

With that said, I cringe when I see people who have accomplished so much before the time of KZfaq are referred to as famous KZfaqrs. I've seen similar comments about Harry Metcalf, who accomplished loads before being on KZfaq as more or less a retirement hobby. It's like referring to Barack Obama as a Netflix producer.
