Played the Waterford Community Center one night for 30-40 people...Before his set he was sitting outside on the steps... Stopped to chat for a minute or two... He was different back then... This song is amazing. All his lyrics are the best. And boy-o-boy... can he play guitar too. He's one of those players that recordings can't do 'em justice. He's a real Texas Troubadour... with a screamin' guitar. He's a real BAD ASS if there ever was one. This cd is totally kick ass. Til this day, over in England, they don't know a thing about a Minor Key. Thanks for sharin', Mr. McMurtry.

You're definitely right! I probably shouldn't have made it seem like they are just in the south. Anywhere and everywhere, rural people are the same. Actually, my mother was born in Virginia but moved to the Catskill Mountains in upstate New York. Talk about some country folk haha.

Woody first made the pun about your Monarchy, and wittingly veiled it in a Minor Key. That's brilliant, Guv. I know y'all know tuning because of my old buddy, Billy B. Billy wales, I mean WHALES. lol. I met Billy a few times back in the 90's. He's The Best!
