I'm an old-timer...I go back far enough I saw the Beatles (1964) and Hendrix in concert (1969), so I have a fairly broad knowledge of music. IMHO, there was no better band during the entire decade of the '90's than James.

Saw this on TOTP the first time around and remember being knocked out by the wall of sound that all of those guitars made...it's been the best part of 20 years since I last saw this, and while it still grabs me, I kind of wish Tim wasn't joined by the inane dancer. Will never forget seeing them at Glastonbury one year, walking down the hill to the sound of Sound reverberating through my backbone and kidneys. Easily my favourite live act experience.

I saw them live at Astroworld in Houston, back in 93, this is the performance I remember. For them to have played at a theme park in the Southern Unite States is really telling of how this great band was trying to make it. I will never forget it.

This may possibly be the best version of the song ever recorded. I cannot think of another band - then or now - that compares to James. They're underrated to the point of seeming more like a closely guarded secret. A really, really great otherworldly secret... Thanks for posting! :-)

I never did hear a James song that did not contain a line or two that made you go "wow, well put..". Some wonderful Metaphors in their songs. So underrated, powerful pop songs, glorious live, and a front man in Tim Booth with REAL charisma in his performances, and how many Bands can you remember saying that about from the 90's....................c'mon now, be honest!.

absolutely no idea why this amazing band are not far more acclaimed..I mean, the Millionaires album is one of the best albums I have ever owned.... Truly great band...my is spiritually enhanced a little every time I hear james.............x

I realy think this is one of the best bands of the 90's, this album got me through the hardest time of my life when in 1995 i had a serious car accident which killed three of my best friends. a month in hospital with the headphones every night listening to this album kept me sane, comforted and every time i hear any track helps me to never forget how fortunate i am and to never forget my friends. thanks "james" you'll never know what this album means to me :-)

An amazing song, and album! This song amongst many others from James was my inner therapy when I needed it most back in the early 90’s, I was the kid listening to James when all my other peers were listening to McHammer or something like that. James was the way to my heart, melodious and lucid the way I loved it.

This band needs a couple of more guitar players in their repertoire.

I was going to my bank in Manchester,my card had demagnetised in a new machine my company had been trialling,lol, When,at the end of Deansgate,or that end of town,I noticed a band being set up. Thought nowt of it,and upon my return,it was 1/2 hour away from start,I had a great spot,so thought,fuck it,I'll check this band out. That band was James,they blew me away.

A few days later we were in Selfridges, London, and it was being played to demonstrate the stratospherically expensive HiFi stuff. I asked the guy what it was and he told me. James, is what we can call a great band, even though time has passed this band still remains in my opinion in the best bands of the world. sadly it is rather hard to get hold of all of these amazing songs by downloading them. its a pity.

James goes straight to the soul and the bone thats why we love it.Every time I play a song i have 5 minutes with him and I know thats what he wanted. My god how time passes.... When this song surfaced I... I simply cannot believe I was a teen then and today I am in my thirties. When I heard the same thing from the older generations I thought to myself, "U've been around FOREVER!!! Deal with reality!!!" Today I understand. How I miss learning of an incredible English band coming out with an ingenius sound. Wish I could go back and appreciate this all realistically.
