James, we drive from 4 states away to eat at Golden Rule in Hoover! We like our sauce on the side, too.

Elizabeth Morgan golden Rule is top notch! That’s where you would eat after the iron bowl when it was at legion field!

We drive 2000 one way every year to eat at Tophat! We love it so much we plan to retire and by a house within a mile of Tophat!

Hwy 82 Jim's bbq is one of the best bbq joint in Montgomery tri-county area. It would also be #1 on my list

Top Hat is my all time favorite! I grew up eating there because m÷ great granny and great aunt lived in Hanceville and my grandmother and other great aunt lived in Cullman. Top Hat was a food group in our house with a Virginia Dare grape soda. I will still go buy a couple sandwiches and sit in the Hopewell Cemetery and have a picnic with my dad.

me and my mom use to go to golden rule all the time we would drive from alexandria or anniston alabama to irondale ill never forget it it was our secret spot i love and miss it so many fond memories

Sally's BBQ off hwy 11 in south Fort Payne is a darn good BBQ restaurant. The rib plate there is awesome

On Fridays and Saturdays you guys need to go to Sylacauga right off 280 at the bottom of Merkel mountain and try Doug's BBQ Best in Talladega county

@@DenverTide I remember going to the first Jim and Nicks where i live here n Birmingham Alabama in the 1980s . Its still there its on Clairmont avenue. It was the only one. It was started by two Greek guys named Jim and NIck
