No one can stay at the top forever. Stewie on a 125 was perhaps the most amazing rider ever. Ask a former pro who was racing 250cc in 2002-2004. The premier class 250 guys would go out of their way to watch the 125 motos/heats...just to see what Stewie would/could do. He changed the way people rode... Cant ever change that....

James was doin stuff on a 125 that guys on a 250 wouldn't even dream of, both indoors and outdoors! He took the sport to new levels, just didn't have the consistency of Ricky or Chad.

Stewart was doing stuff on a 125 that no one else could do but he just couldn’t do that on a 450. He could have competed with the 450’s on a 125 but all he did when he moved up was hurt himself, he just couldn’t handle the power and speed he got from a bigger bike

Time to settle the whole . . "Bubba was the fastest rider ever" . . . He was great, and after Carmichael retired, he was unquestionably the fastest rider on earth. Best ever? You tell me?. . . Stewart won 7 ama championships. Ricky Carmichael won 16 ama championships. James Stewart won 98 ama races. Ricky Carmichael won 162. Stewart and Carmichael raced several full seasons in the same class against each other in head to head competition, and in every single one of them Ricky Carmichael won the championship. They raced a total of 59 ama events against each other. Of those 59, Carmichael beat Stewart 39 times, and Stewart beat Carmichael 20 times. Carmichael retired from ama motocross after running 7 races in the 2007 motocross season against Stewart, winning all 7 events. (Carmichael crashed out of the lead in two of those races, and both times caught and passed Stewart to win both) . . . . . After carmichael retired stewart was easily the fastest rider on earth. Was he faster than Ricky Carmichael.......... no
@garrett32345 жыл бұрын
Bryan Carpenter nahh he was the fastest and pushed Ricky to ride over his head as for titles yea Ricky had more cause he would take a second James was win or die... He could have checked up but in his new vids he put out he clearly says it wasnt championships for him it was wins and in the highest division of supercross James has more wins than Ricky
@nathanmcdonald15724 жыл бұрын
@@garrett3234 James raced for more years than RC did and Ricky still has 162 totals wins to Bubba's 116. RC also has 15 titles to Stewart's 6. Not only that, but RC absolutely crushed James outdoors in 2005 and 2006. James could not match his pace without crashing his brains out. James was all-out faster in Supercross, there's no doubt. But Ricky had him covered outdoors. He never even lost a race to Stewart in the 2007 Nationals when he was semi-retired!

'06' MX RC once again dominated all comers, including James Stewart, in winning 9 races and placing second twice. However, at the season finale at Glen Helen Raceway, RC crashed while challenging James Stewart for the win and was unable to finish the race. Fortunately though, Carmichael had already clinched the overall championship at the prior round. In the crash, he sustained a shoulder injury and was unable to compete in the Motocross of Nations race in England.

Remember the stadium races? Only the amateurs bikes smoked, (poor/richer jetting). The pros would race all evening. Then the amateurs would smoke up the stadium in one race. My jetting was crisp baby, but I still never came close to racing pro. :( Yes, those were some special days, and we did not even know it then. I do now, because I now port 30cc racing two-strokes for a living. This sport formed much of my life, and it's a good life with opportunities like these. Tell the kids, Learn how to make things, and get into a recreational industry. It's a blast.
