Zabiela is phenomenal. His understanding how to set out mixes and the way he blends everything together can't be understated. Probably best Boiler Room I've seen.

DJs PAY CLOSE ATTENTION Zabiela gives us a masterclass performance, and throws the crowd for a loop a few times too. I understood every little nuance as I witnessed it, and you reminded me what it was like being a DJ back in the day! Thank you James Zabiela!

James Zabiela is such a great legend. Its pretty clear when people "get him" and when people don't. United States of EDM fans need not apply.

I love the way how Zabiela smiles while he's mixing... I can't think of any other dj who enjoys making music so much as Zabiela does :) Amazing set!

Me and some other DJ friends were driving from Miami Airport to the hotel for the WMC in 2003 and this awesome music was playing on some FM, it just picked our ears. Then one night this blonde kid we never heard about before was warming up for Sasha & Diggers, no less. Later we discovered it was Zabiela on the FM show, playing live. Long story short, I couldn’t believe the set he played for them. True warm up, but f-me he was so amazing that the headliners set was bland even with the hyped names after he left. We took off as well, to the rooftop to hear Sander Kleinenberg play instead (amazing) and there he was, we introduced ourselves he was shy and quiet but what a phenomenal DJ, I became a fan. Perfect programming, out of this world mixing, unheard of tricks, underground and still irresistible, danceable. To me he’s still one of the best “true” DJs ever, and I’ve heard quite a lot of them.

I remember the first time I heard James Zabelia on proton radio back in the day.

Seen him in Malta 🇲🇹... I pretend to be his father so we could get in vip (with a chance of meeting him)... It worked cos we are English and convincing... But eventually got rumbled by security and got turfed out... Had the pleasure of listening, feeling, experiencing 3 hours of magic... His skills are second to none... Legend

The things I like about him are: He has very unique sound, he is trying to enhance tracks by adding his own personal touches, his build up to drops is awesome, the first track on every set just gets you dying for the beat to kick in and it rarely lets you down, he is not afraid to play different styles of edm, and also he loves new order!! Plus got some of his own music on vinyl and it's like nothing else with such a punchy unique sound

He is so happy. It makes it so much better knowing he is so happy doing it.

I watched Zabiela at the Buenos Aires Moonpark on Saturday March 3rd 2007 (yes, 2007), he played before Sander Kleinenberg and he totally stole the show. He really PLAYS with his hardware and use it as musical instruments instead of "just" mixing the songs. I remember he recorded pieces of the public screaming different things and then mixed them into the music. We went wild when we realized what the guy had done LIVE. This man is truly out of any league.

James, You are one of most technical talented DJ and this set is almost perfect (I see what You did there ;) ). I hope to see You live. Once more, great set!

I saw James perform last night at the The Picture House in Edinburgh. First time I've heard of him, and his set blew me away! Loved the fact he didn't stop smiling the entire time either! Nice to see the DJ is enjoying himself as much as the crowd are! Go see him live if you can!

zabiela for me is possible the best ever dj, amazing technical ability, flawless mixing and great tune selections and he always has a great energy, always dancing and smiling, also a fantastic producer.

seen him in 2005. nothing has changed since. pure genius.

saw zabiela back in february, didn't really rate him much before that but he played without a doubt the best set i have ever seen anyone play live before, no one else i have seen even comes close, he is the only person i have seen that dares to experiment by blending so many different genres together into one set, he truly takes you on a musical journey, amazing

I was taught this scratch technique by mr ben Bristow at point blank London music school, he loops a scratch sample, assigns the transformer effect, taps the tempo of track in and puts the timing at 1/4 of a bar

You obviously don't know James Zabiela as a DJ/Producer. You don't have to try to hard to find lots of KZfaq videos where he is showing you how to do it. Its so OBVIOUS that the video is out of synch. He is a MASTER of his equipment.

I never bother writing/replying to comments (or haters should I say), but could not help it this time. Zabiela works his ass off when DJing, what he does is for real, I have seen him first hand countless times . . . you are watching a video from your bedroom! What is more is I am certain if you met him in real life you would not be so rude, in fact I bet quite the opposite . . . get it real.

The way JZ transits "touch the sky" towards the wildly fun and haunting bassline of locked groove's "the giver" is high quality mixing. Ive heard this style from him numerous times, yet it still gets my full attention.

Ok so while pressing a thousand buttons and looking busy as hell he lets the first track play out for 8 minutes before doing a basic crossover followed by a few basic delay FX tricks to the existing track to fade it out. lol
