Oh, please don't worry about benches marked up by wet raccoon paws, as soon as you wipe it clean, they'll muddy it up next time around. Anyone who has fed raccoons for a while knows about wet, muddy paws ! Even though you may not want to change your phone #, it may be necessary for your own peace of mind. That way, you'ii have more control over incoming phone calls. As for Buddy's ups and downs, you have no control over that, he's wild. Geesh, can't believe people were calling you about Buddy! Plays with our cats and dogs! Their is no rehaber in my county .only one that takes in birds.so now I am currently in the process of getting my wild animal rehab license so I can help these guys!! And they days/weeks went by I did some research. You have to teach them to fish and catch bugs .things like that! Wich I didn’t know at the the time.so I’m afraid I release her she will not know how to survive on her own.but I do have some knowledge of raccoons now! Also you shouldn’t release just 1 . You can but shouldn’t. Should release 2 or more together.as they live in family’s their is also raccoon language.so if you release 2 or more they will teach each other that language. If you release just 1 they will more n likely live alone the rest of ther life.also raccoons only live 2 to 5 years in the wild. But they live 20 or more years in captivity.should I keep her or release her? She also has been to a vet twice for vaccinations!so if I keep her she’s up to date on vaccinations! Also if I release her she will not get distemper as she had been vaccinated! Sorry for the long message! I just wanted to put those things out their for people who say you shouldn’t keep raccoons.as I said. You shouldn’t but can release one..as it may live alone the rest of its life..also if in captivity they can live 20 plus years! But when I get my wild life rehabilitation license I know now that I have to each it things and release more then 1 at a time! Again sorry for the long message! Also thank you!!

I come to Jim's videos for the peace and love raccoons can give ( i was blessed to have raised 6 so far in my life) and seeing Jim upset really does not sit well with me.. He is a man to be respected above all! this started as a promise and now its what he loves...

@@kathleenharris6124 they have homes in the woods! They live in hollowed out trees and in dens/burrows! They have thick coats! They stay warm in the winter! I don’t think this man needs to put houses out for theses cute little guys! I honestly don’t think they would stay in the dog houses🤣🤣🤣🤣 they would more n likely just go back in the woods!🥰 but not not a bad idea tho I just don’t think it would do any good!! I know a little about raccoons! I rehab them! I have 1 in my house right now playing with my dog!! It’s good they play with my dog and cats! It helps them learn with socializing! Raccoons are very social animals! They actually live with family! Kind of like humans lol 😂

@Sharon Gilley I love that we have the same first name and initial. In Grade 3 there were three of us girls called Sharon. The teacher asked us our middle names, thinking she could differentiate us by our second name. Guess what? Yes, exactly the same middle name. She ended up calling us by Sharon + first letter of our surnames which fortunately were all different. Have a lovely weekend! 🌹
