I could listen this bloke all day. There's such a lovely quality to his voice, that has an almost calming spiritual tone to it and a nice man to boot. He should be employed to narrate audio books.

I can relate to this story as I was arrested in Himachal Pradesh in the same circumstances back in 2004, great podcast and such a nice guy. Really pleased for him to be home.

Enjoyed that interview... Worked with James years ago at Gartnavel hospital on a plumbing job . Didn't realise it was him until he mentioned the leaving for Jersey bit .. This was 34 years ago. Enjoyed his story

Quality loved this and very inspiring .

My mums best friends husband unbeknown to me was a big time drug smuggler who after getting caught and facing a trial in the late 80's ran off to the Punjab. He was again caught by Indian authorities a few years later for a separate smuggling offence there and eventually ended up in jail where he ended up dying. His family here with two sons now in their 40's only met him on a few occasions when they went out to visit him in jail. What a complete waste of life for him and his family who never really knew him, including his wife who spent most of her marriage a single mother.

Yet again another interesting chap good story James I hope you know that you are helping these guys as well with giving them a platform to tell there stories so well done to you and these people for telling there stories no matter what they are

Typical Scottish guy, brilliant storyteller, I mean that in a nice way, makes you listen, there for the grace of God...... an aw that ?

This guy's story is like most people's life story. You're being controlled and coerced and dont even know it. Ive spent a fair bit of time in India and the only difference between there and UK is that their corruptions are transparent in day to day life. You get caught you pay off the official. No need to sneak about...the scam here is obvious. Everyone earns out of this apart from the poor Indian villager who does a 10. Goan drug dealers keep serving up in cahoots with the police. The police get good press every now and then for catching a foreigner selling drugs. Local solicitors get work, as do the judges whilst fleecing the foreigner of their money. The foreigner doesn't do a 10 and feels lucky...I've heard this story a 1000 times.this happens all around the world.

I think James is a better and more natural interviewer than attwood. My only point is his deliberately use of words and phrases like "skrew" "10-stretch" ect, it doesn't really match his professional approach.
