Mine arrived today, and it mounts sideways using the light loop on my saddlebags lovely! So that's great as other weaker lights get lost under the bags when on the seat post, then there are mudguards in the way (MTB guards on most of my fleet so they're big and stick up in the air a bit) so the flash gets lost in daylight easily. No issues with this light though - beggar me it's bright in some modes! There's one mode where it does a mediumy flash, then another mediumy flash and then whoa shoot that's a bright one! 😵‍💫 For the money, this looks a good bit of kit, reassuringly bright in daylight. Thanks James - You could say I watched your video and saw the light! 🤣

I like to run two lights both front and back. That way if one stops working, it's unlikely the other one will stop working. AAA battery powered lights tend to run longer than USB rechargeable ones in my experience. Lithium rechargeable batteries are usually the failure point of lights. It's easy to change a battery every couple of weeks and skip the warranty runaround.

Think as long as you have a good indication or indicator showing when the battery is likely to die you should be a step ahead, unless like me doesn’t check😁 I’ll let you know how long this lasts . Cheers David😊👍

Looks a good piece of kit, certainly got all possible lighting functions covered! I'd really prefer one with a saddle bag clip on the back rather than a seat post mount, but I could put one on the seat stays and use another on the saddle bag - it never hurts to have two lights for extra safety and in case one fails.

I have to shout out early doors but it seems to do a great job on daylight rides, very bright and expect it to be even brighter in the evenings. I didn’t think to look at mounting it on the seatstays, I know a few who do. Keep an eye out for a short in the next couple of days, will do a mobile vid to try it😊👍

Nothing stopping us using the flat mount on these done the rubber stays firm. I’ll see how this one runs, never used these before so will see. Cheers for the feedback Michael😊👍

Based off this review I'm going to buy this rear light over the Cateye ViZ450. Thanks for the review!! And I'm watching from Australia. New sub incoming!

I’m in the same situation. What made you choose Lezyne?
@JamesSocialCycling
@JamesSocialCycling 10 ай бұрын
I am presuming you’re asking @journeyman6752? If asking me, I felt the Lezyne looks and feel more robust. Ceye looks like it may break if took a tumble. I know it has 450 Lumens but the 300 on the Lezyne will last 2 rides tops, I’d be worried 450L would run out mid second ride. Any way appreciate the comment and you dropping by. Good luck on your choice, I expect you buying either one you’re not going to be disappointed 😊👍

Also the cateye uses the old micro usb charge connector not the later usb-c one

Great review I may get one of these. I will need to fit it on stays or rack on various bikes though as I always have a saddle bag on which I cannot do without. I like the strobe mode which I would use when group riding. Those bright flashing modes are terrible when in a group, I always stay well back from them as they can be blinding and annoying when you cant gat away from them, fine when you are alone. This trend to most people in the group sporting these bright lights pushes me further to lone riding now.

Thanks Malcolm appreciate your feedback. It’s a good light with some eco flash which won’t blind anyone if in a group. I’ve just purchased the 400+ which also can blind you, but then with a couple of less blinding settings🫣😎😊👍

I'm looking for a rear light and I like this light but I hate its mounting. Looks like pain in the a** considering taking it off and on for charging and when leaving the bike. Also it doesn't look like tilting is possible which is a problem on seat post that are not perfectly vertical and the light will kind of face the ground.
@JamesSocialCycling
@JamesSocialCycling Жыл бұрын
Easy to take off and put back on. The rubber mount and strap is simple to use. There is a little bit of tilt already in the design so your light isn’t looking down. It’s difficult to get the correct amount as all bikes are different. I’ve not long spoke to a guy who purchased this light from my video and he loves the light. As I said I was looking for a good day runner and this works well and I have no issues with the mount and strap. Hope this helps. Thanks

Seems like it should have a mount that angles it up instead of the angle of the seat post

I just can't abide by the strap mounting system. Looks so Janky. I'm going to get another Cygolite even though it's not the most reliable, it has the best mounting system of any light. Thanks for the video. Helped me decide.
@JamesSocialCycling
@JamesSocialCycling Жыл бұрын
Apologies for the late reply. As long as I helped that’s the main thing. Appreciate the comment as to the strap but nowadays most light mounting systems are the same rubber strap. As you say not the best but with a lite light like this it’s workable😉 Cheers for dropping by😊👍

This company has many bad reviews of battery life. It appears mine has died, too. 1 year old. I loved it when it worked, but that's over now. I'll update if the company fixes it.😢

OK you’re trying to troll me aren’t you?? You must be, because the 150 version is 150 lumens and the 300 version goes to 300 lumens. Now I’m no genius, but I’m right in saying the higher amount of lumens means the brighter the light is. Oh and for the record my version comes with 11 different modes, one being 150 lumens and the better 300 lumens. Thanks 😊
