I was part of this magical trick. It was amazing. They had cards taped to our seats and one side was a color for the anthem and the other for the Iowa logo. The cards had wide slits in them so we could all see out of them and see what the stadium looked like. Well organized..beautiful and wow. We must have set a record or something. Proud to be an Iowa Hawkeye. Go Hawks!!!

@diggerg56 I'm in that band, and it wasn't an attempt to mock Iowa. We did raise the cards during the Star Spangled Banner. We simply didn't know what the design for the second half was, and didn't think we should be making what may very have been a Hawk shape. I think it's fair for a band not to create a shape in support of the opposite team.

@Tekkblades It was not an act of disrespect; we weren't told what exactly was happening or what to do. We didn't know if we would have inadvertently create the Hawk logo. It was just a matter of miscommunication. That's all.

@MelroseMagic Very nice, calling me a "piece of crap" while also discussing how classless I am. We were on a bus and rehearsing in uniform for nearly half a day immediately before this event. No, we did not know what it was, nor did we even know whether we were supposed to participate. "Why would we not be told about this" was a question I was asking myself as well. Don't be so quick to judge us.
