It's very easy to claim someone hasn't read the book because they don't agree with you, but just remember we are sitting here like....you must have been the one that didn't read it, to not see all the abuse in it. I read the book. I read the whole series and I will confirm that is indeed filled to brim with abuse. Lack of consent, ignoring her safe words, threatening to "spank" her when she pisses him off (outside the context of sex) using alcohol to coerce her into sex, taking nothing about her into consideration when he knows its her first time ever have sex, isolating her from friends and family, getting angry with her because she doesn't like something he has chosen to do to her, just to name a few, It's very easy to claim someone hasn't read the book because they don't agree with you. Its amusing to think we're sitting here thinking, did you read the book?! how could you not notice all the emotional and physical abuse in it if you did?! Hopefully the movie will be different and won't sent out the appalling message the book did. 50 shades is not an accurate depiction of BDSM, and never will be. I think Jamie is fucking lovely and by some of the interviews I've seen and read both him and Dakota kind of regret the whole thing. But they both seem like good actors so every success to them.
