Using "pinch" for manuals seems wrong, since pinch is a real word for an action. Crook you actually pinch. I am over 35yr old, maybe it's a young skater thing. Manuals to me are more of a lock in situation.

I kinda have to argue against the manuel pinch. You're not really pinching, its kinda like a hip lock, with more pressure on your toes where you're going to pop. I see what they're saying, but to literally pinch a manual would be wheel bite.

I pinch manuals to front tailslides on stuff. Learnt early 2000s ABC ledges, you manual normally putting weight on backheel to veer towards ledge as your about to pop, instead push your back foot forward leaning to lock tailslide. It’s not hard but adds little challenge and flair to a basic manual. Pro tip use your hips and legs to turn hard into tail but upper body to balance and guide you out to fakie. 👍🏽

The video of the nine club discussing supremes candyland has a perfect example of a "pinched" or locked mannie... During the forementioned supreme clip around 4:05 looks like what Jamie Foy was talking about when discussing the topic of "pinched"/ locked mannies... theres no way you can do a manual revert without some sort of "mannie pinch" or mannie lock.

Can you imagine your bushings are uneven( so your board doesn’t roll straight on its own the you can pinch your Manuel or whatever trick and still go straight. Trucks touching or not touching. Kinda like your hammering the grind in, I feel like you can give her that effect of a pinch with the board touching

Ok....it feels like it's the same thing as being locked in except you can't pinch a manual without wheel biting or leaning/ turning. Grinding, pending on truck tightness/looseness, is more clear on the pinch definition because of the means to lean your board on the ledge or rail with the trucks while grinding.
