@DanS you can’t be serious. In these types of flat ground SKATE competitions Jamie is the current king. He’s also progressing quickly so I don’t see anyone catching up anytime soon.

Everybody write about Jamie, I understand -- He is a Beast, but the style and fact that Alex Mizurov get into finals got me hyped AF. He was soooo much time ago in berrics that I forget that he actually skate. He deserve a spot on Berrics again IMO :)

Him and Cole made flat ground skating cool before the berrics was even a thing. Their match from 2006 is fucking legendary imho!

Unfortunately Alex is not in the spotlight anymore, but he’s a beast nonetheless. The eS game of skate against Cole is what got me into skateboarding and I still love it to this day. He was just ahead of the time with tech and style.

@@DFunct905 there wasn’t any blackballing from what I remember it was a visa issue that never really got resolved. I think some shit might have happened where it is hard for him to gain entrance to the USA for some reason.

I think he is progressing the sport with the consistency of super hard tricks. But the style of guys like Mike Mo or Shane O'Neill is still miles ahead of Jamie's. But from what I have seen, Jamie's style is getting better and better. Let's see how it evolves.

Who cares? Jamie won and it wasn’t close. Lol game of skate doesn’t always have to be so serious. Especially when one guy is clearly dominating. Shutting it down on a technicality as you say would have ruined the vibe. Dude literally lost on the next trick anyway

@@thatguy5233 nah homie just watched it frame by frame he does give the back of the board a little flick to make it look like he did it but in no way did the board do the extra rotation lol it flipped like a normal tre

Anyone who’s been following skateboarding over a decade now knows how much Alex has tremendously improved his style since the eS games of skate awhile back. It’s cool to see him still getting after it.

Alex has always had an amazing style, he’s always had proper pop and style. He just went away from Hip Hop style and put some emphasis on more pop.

Mizurov has the real style. King of GoS. Jamie is humble, nice guy and master with his feet extremely fast, but something is missing, I don't know, sk8boarding as art and street culture has some particular sides, I don't know, anyway, congrats to Jamie, deserved it, as well as BATB 13 winning. Mizurov, come to west, come to Brazil, we want see you more frequently!

While we all knew who would probably win this battle, the other guy was trying to pop his tricks too high and missed a couple for exactly that reason (fakie flip & fakie heel). Not everyone is Luan, it's better to just cruise and stay consistent. Regardless, great skating by both.

He has multiple tricks semi-consistent that few others can do even 1 or 2 of on a good day. He does both 3 shuvs and clean impossibles, 5 shuv, feather flip, 2x dolphin, Merlin twist variations, the pressure flip/late flip stuff and more. He’s almost beyond human with his flips.

I truly hope Jamie gets better at other things other than. Flat ground. Can’t blame him for maximizing his exposure right now though. But he seems to have the ability to be more than just flat ground wizard. Looking forward to his progression
